This villa is a typical villa of the19th century located in a 5000 ha garden with old trees and plants. You are sitting in the garden and have a splendid view over the Bavarian Alps directly from the door. There is only one holiday home in the villa. The centre of the village Berchtesgaden is 10 min by feet and by car you need 20 min to Salzburg downtown.

Berchtesgaden is one of the most beautiful alpine resorts in the Bavarian mountains. The most famous peak called 'Watzmann' is the second-highest in Germany (ca 3000m). From the Villa Doris you see the complete chain of mountains including the 'Watzmann'. Roundtrips in any extend are as possible as roundtrips by car through the Bavarian and Austrian Alps in the neighbourhood.

Bayern und die Berge lassen sich auch ohne den üblichen rustikalen ikea-ergänzten Einrichtungskitsch geniessen! Diese Ferienwohnung in aristokratischer Umgebung mit parkartigem Garten, den man alleine nutzen kann, ist wirklich einmalig. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet und alles da, was man braucht. Etwas für Verliebte…

Ein außergewöhnliches Domizil in wunderbarer Lage

Wir haben uns in der geräumigen und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Ferienwohnung der schönen alten Villa sehr wohl gefühlt.

Natürlich hatten wir auch Glück, denn das Wetter war im Oktober fast sommerlich. Wir saßen meist im Garten neben den alten Buxbäumen unter dem Sonnenschirm und zählten die Watzmann-Kinder.

Unser Lieblings-Wanderweg geht direkt vom Haus los, hochromantisch an der Ache entlang bis zum Königssee (4,5 km); kann man täglich schaffen.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, geschmackvoll und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Direkter Zugang zum parkähnlichen Garten, beim Frühstück unter dem Kastanienbaum phantastische Aussicht auf den Watzmann und die umliegenden Berge. Zu Fuss ist man in fünf Minuten im Ortszentrum. Sehr ruhig, da die Fenster gartenseitig sind und die relativ befahrene Strasse daher nicht stört. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür. Aufgrund der Treppen im Garten für Leute mit Gehbehinderung nicht geeignet. Abends ist die Wohnung ziemlich kühl, wenn die Heizung nicht eingeschaltet ist (wir waren Anfang September dort).
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Tourists without a Car, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Leider lässt sich in der 130 Jahre alten Villa Park und Eingangsbereich der Ferienwohnung nicht rollstuhlgerecht gestalten; Bei Gehbehinderung muss man mit ca 20 Stufen rechnen, die vom Parkplatz zum Eingang führen sowie kleinere Abstufungen im Garten/ Park.
die Heizung (Gas-Zentralheizung) wird im kommenden Winter noch durch Fussbodenheizung im Bad/ Gang ergänzt.
