The penthouse sleeping up to 4 people is situated directly in the historical center of Sintra, UNESCO World cultural heritage, opposite the Royal Palace. It consists of a living room, 2 double bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom containing a bath/shower and toilet. The apartment is full of character. It has been newly renovated and is tastefully decorated in the local style with original Portuguese Azulejos (hand painted tiles). The apartment is not only near Lisbon but also very close to the Atlantic coast with its wild romantic beaches and to Estoril a golfing area. There are many other chances to make excursions an especially original art and historical monuments, which are very easily accessible. Sintra also offers bicycle tours and chances to go hiking through the beautiful fairy tale scenic landscapes of 'Serra de Sintra'. It is the ideal starting point. The apartment is ideal for individualists who are looking for a holiday with a variety of activities to do.

Cultur, nightlife and shopping: With its cultural events, chances to explore the shopping and nightlife scene and to go out, the 'Costa de Lisboa' offers a very interesting cultural program. Sintra, Estoril and other towns offer their own Music and Cultural Festivals. Lisbon itself is a busy town with many different events. It is well equipped with a range of restaurants, bars and cafes of all categories. Even those in search of a big night out will find variety of places to satisfy their needs. Of course the best place to go shopping is Lisbon where some of the biggest shopping centers can be found, but there are also many other shopping areas between Sintra and Estoril.

History of art interests: A part from being near to Lisbon Sintra is also an ideal place to go out and visit some of the prettiest and the most important history of art locations in Portugal through day excursions. Nazare, Alcobaca, Tomar, Obidos, Batalha, Fatima and many more offer culturally interest in areas of pleasure without any problems. There is also a lot to discover about Portugal’s history.

Sports: Nearly unlimited choice for sport enthusiasts. In this location it is worth making mention of the 8 golf courses in a radius of just 20 km!

Golf: Sintra prides itself as the place for golf holiday makers. The 8 courses are quick and easily reached from here. In addition to this there is an area south of Lisbon (1 hour away by car), making the total number of golf courses 14! Giving just a few examples and naming the most important golf courses we have: Estoril with 2 courses (18 and 9 holes), 8 km away. Quinta da Beloura with 18 holes, 4 km away. Penha Longa also with 2 courses (18 and 9 holes), 5 km away. Estoril sol 4 km away (9 hole course). Quinta de Marinha, about 15 km away with 18 holes.

We stayed here in Casa Christine and it was awesome, right in the heart of Sintra. Mr. Berghardt made sure we had all the necessary items we needed and was very knowlegeable and friendly. Philomena who will cook for you cooked us an unbelieveable meal.

The place was great, we want to go back.

Hat man über die schmale Stiege im Treppenhaus erst einmal die Wohnung erreicht, so ist man überrascht und bald auch begeistert: Das gilt für die Lage - Blick auf den Palast - genau so wie für die liebevolle Ausstattung! Empfehlenswert! Allenfalls kann man an Kleinigkeiten in der Küche herummäkeln - wir hätten zum Beispiel gern ein Stövchen zum Warmhalten des Tees vorgefunden!
