I was overjoyed after spending a weekend in this “Bronx Beauty” while visiting nearby Fordham University. The description shared by the owner is complete and accurate. The location and price can’t be beat! We found the apartment building to be meticulously maintained and quite safe. Our apartment unit was tastefully decorated and quite comfortable. Small touches included tea, coffee and a complimentary newspaper. A small, updated kitchen and eating area gives guests the option to prepare simple meals. There are many nearby specialty markets to obtain fresh grocery itmes. Additional bonuses were the free curbside parking and public transportation across the street. The owner takes great pride in his property and has an easygoing, helpful personality. Our dining, bakery and specialty market choices were unlimited as Arthur Avenue’s “Little Italy” is just down the road a bit (roughly a five minute, easy to navigate drive by car). We were happy to find a great website that highlights local restaurants, markets and bakeries- Fordhamdining.com. I would urge all guests to utilize this site as the webmaster shares many wonderful dining suggestions and accurate reviews.
I hope to return to this lovely apartment in the near furture to futher explore the Bronx and Manhattan.
