Casa Sogno is located in the south of Tuscany near the Mediterranean Sea only a few steps from the old center of Gavorrano. In complete silence two of three terraces (incl. furniture) offer a fantastic panoramic view into the valley up to the sea and Gavorrano. The house offers a comfortable and typical Italian life style for 2 to 4 persons. For example you will find central heating, a dish washer, a washing machine and all necessary kitchen aids. Three terraces, the beautiful interior and the open fire place will bring you into a peaceful, relaxing and cozy world agreeable and far away from your daily business. If you like a bit of variety you will find several possibilities to do sports as well as to visit the great cultural capitals like Siena (1,5 h), Florence (2,0 h) and Rome (2,5 h). The most beautiful beaches of Punta Ala and Casteglione are only a few driving minutes away. For your car you will find a reserved parking place near by the house. Domestic animals are not allowed.

Gavorrano is about 1000 years old. On the top of a small mountain you will have a fantastic view to all directions into the valley up to the sea and the island of Elba. Small passes, steps, the old weir and of course the dominating church are characteristic for Gavorrano. But Gavorrano is as well a place with daily business. You will join the typical Italian life with a school, a post-office, a bank, shops, coffee bars, a very good restaurant, a weekly market and a police station.

Notes: Casa Sogno is part of three further residences, each with separate entrances, terraces and gardens. The house has two floors. You will enter the house from the entrance terrace. From here you reach both sleeping rooms and the huge bath room. Downstairs you will find the open kitchen and living room and the entrance for further two terraces and the garden. The kitchen is ready for cooking and eating and offers you all kitchen aids necessary. Please be aware of the fact that our guests have to bring their own bed linen, bath-towels and kitchen-towels with them. There will be a final cleaning of the house by a cleaning lady. Please do not smoke too much inside the house and be further aware of the fact that due to guests suffering from an allergy domestic animals are not allowed at Casa Sogno.

Culture: You will reach the great cultural capitals like Siena in about 1,5 driving hours by car, Florence in 2,0 h and Rome in 2,5 h. The historical places of Vetulonia and Populonia (Etruscans) are only a few minutes away by car. We would like to recommend as well a visit to the old city of Massa Marrittima, the island of Elba, Monte Argentario and Giglio and to the Nature Park of Maremma in which wild horses are still living. During winter times and colder days we highly recommend the natural sulphur sources nearby which are hot and healthy and have already been used by the ancient Romans

Seaside: Within a driving distance of about 15 kilometres you will easily reach the seaside. From there you will find the beautiful beaches of Punta Ala as well as Casteglione della Pescaia like pearls on a cord. Most beaches are close to the woods and reachable by car. Some more secret places you can reach within a few walking minutes on a pass with some fantastic and panoramic views (like Cala Violina). We highly recommend a trip on the half-island of Monte Argentario and from there a boat trip to the small island of Giglio..

Sports: If you like a bit of activity you will find several possibilities to do sports. Start some mountain-biking or hiking tour into the woods of Maremma. Cycling, riding, tennis and paragliding are as well some famous sports which you can join nearby. At the seaside you will find various opportunities for sailing, windsurfing, fishing, diving and of course swimming.

Golf: The location of Casa Sogno is the perfect place for those who want to combine the typical life of an Italian village with playing golf during their stay. Two famous golf sport areas (both with 18 holes) are only a few driving minutes away. In Punta Ala you will find a renowned club with ocean-view and down in the valley of Gavorrano you will find a young and beautiful club with a fantastic natural playgrounds and greens.

Wir haben einen Urlaub zu zweit verbracht und haben dafür die optimale Unterkunft gefunden: sehr schöne Lage, architektonisch gelungen, geschmackvolle und durchdachte Einrichtung, komfortable Ausstattung, wundervoller Blick, guter Ausgangspunkt um das Meer und andererseits das wundervolle Hinterland und schöne Orte zu erreichen. Kurz: es war besser, als erwartet.
Für 2 Peronen ist das Häuschen sehr gut geeignet, zu viert hätten wir es als zu klein empfunden. In unserer zweiten Woche war es sehr heiß und wir hätten uns im Schlafzimmer einen Deckenventilator gewünscht.
Wir haben den Urlaub im Casa Sogno in so schöner Erinnerung, dass wir sehr gerne wiederkommen möchten. Freunden würden wir das Haus jederzeit empfehlen.
Wir haben im Restaurante " Bella Vista" ausgezeichnet und günstig gegessen.

casa sogno ist ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes kleines häuschen.man fühlte sich dadurch sehr wohl..auch die tollen einkaufsmöglichkeiten direkt vom bauern an der strasse zum meer.auch mit drei kindern war es doch noch nicht unangenehm, dass man kurz zum meer ins auto steigen musste.
es war zwar heiss (gott sei dank), aber wir würden gleich wieder losfahren...
liebe grüsse auch an die besitzer! und nochmals vielen dank für die netten begrüssungsgeschenke!

Das Haus und die Umgebung sind schöner als auf den Bildern. Auch die Nachbarn sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Tip im "Hausbuch", bei Umberto essen zu gehen, ist ein echter Geheimtip...aber vorher unbedingt Tisch reservieren.
