You'll love this tranquil retreat in a wooded setting. Only electric-powered, or man-powered boats are allowed on the lakes, thereby maintaining an enjoyable and peaceful vacation. This chalet is on a small (quiet) section of a large lake. Take the 17' canoe from the private beach and paddle out into the large part of the lake in no time. Although quiet and relaxing, you'll also find there is quite a lot to do. Relax on the deck while listening to music, or work on your laptop computer. Sit on the private beach next to a fire enjoying the lake and wildlife. The Innsbrook pool is within walking distance (1/2 mile) and overlooks beautiful lake Aspen. A one-mile walk along gravel roads brings you to the restaurant and golf course. A short drive will bring you to the stables where you can watch or ride the horses. Additional fees are required for golf and horseback riding, but there is plenty to do for free as well.

Innsbrook is only 45 minutes from St. Louis. It is a 7,000 acre resort and our chalet is on 150-acre Lake Aspen. You can stay very busy and never leave the resort, with golf, hiking trails, lakes, boating, swimming in lakes or the pool, tennis, and horseback riding. There is also a fitness center and hot-tub near the pool. Beyond Innsbrook this area is wine-country with quite a few wineries within a short drive. St. Louis has abundant attractions including the zoo, botanical gardens, the City Museum, of course the Arch, great restaurants and other attractions found in a large city. Warrenton outlet mall is nearby and offers shopping. A short day-trip will take you to Jefferson City, our state's capital, or Columbia, home of the Mizzou Tigers.

Notes: You'll find over 200 titles in VHS and DVD movies. Please feel free to bring your own music and movies. Emergency toiletries are available, but we ask that you plan to bring and use your own items. There is one hair dryer in each bathroom. Towels and linens are provided, however daily maid service is not provided. Cleaning is performed between guests' stays. A small vacuum and broom are provided if needed. Pool, hot tub, sauna, fax, fitness center and pool are located at the conference center, approximately 1/2 mile from the chalet. Well behaved pets are welcome.

Innsbrook Resort and Conference Center: Innsbrook is only 45 minutes from St. Louis. There are two large lakes, and our Chalet is on one of them. There are about 80 medium and small lakes, however gas-powered boats are not allowed, only electric - that means it's quieter, and in my opinion much safer. The scenery is BEAUTIFUL, and the people are so friendly. There are lots of people of all ages ages at Innsbrook. It's a wonderful family retreat. Innsbrook is SAFE, and we never worry about our belongings in this gated community. We also enjoy seeing baby geese while boating, as well as baby deer and wild turkey while driving around. We prefer the cozy, more intimate feel of the two bedroom chalet. Although the Chalet feels private, we are quite close to the pool and golf course, so we don't feel isolated at all. Everyone waves as they pass; it's such a friendly place!

Why We Love Our Vacation Home: We love to visit our vacation home; our favorite activities are sitting by a fire at our beach, and swimming in the pool on a hot day. Visiting Innsbrook during the week is especially nice because the pool is not at all crowded. It's so peaceful and beautiful there! Saturday nights are also a lot of fun when they sponsor bands and movies at the outdoor stage near the Farmhouse. Innsbrook is 7,000 acres. We love to just drive around Lake Alpine and look at the GORGEOUS homes on the west side of Innsbrook. Although we aren't avid golfers, we always enjoy having lunch or dinner at Hannekan's Restaurant, overlooking the 18th hole and watching the golfers make their final putt.

Golf: Innsbrook has an 18-hole golf course that weaves it's way through lakes and past beautiful homes and chalets. Have dinner at the golf course clubhouse after you play a round.
