The apartments location is on the hills of a rural property in a typical Ligurian style. The lodges are part of an estate cultivate at vineyard ( Vermentino , Sangiovese etc,) with building carefully restored in the countryside of Sarzana, an ancient medieval town, its close to the archaeological site of 'antique harbour of Lunae' and on the 'Via Francigena' antique route to Rome, 8 km from Golfo dei Poeti, where Lord Byron used to spend long periods of time and close to the beautiful beaches of Versilia and to Cinque Terre place. New furniture, garden with barbecue and pergola are surrounding you. All around wood, fruit trees, vineyard, olive grove and typical Mediterranean vegetation make you feed relaxed. Here is possible to listen to the sound of the country.

Sarzana: This place (Sarzana) is central of uncontaminated valley nominad Lunigiana and is near to: Genova 105 Km (1 Hour by car through motorway ), Pisa 60 Km (45 min by car through motorway) , Firenze 115 Km (1 Hour 15 min by car through motorway). Sarzana is between Carrara marble pit 18 Km (20 min by car) and 'Cinque terre' place 20 Km by service boat. I remind you that the International exposure of the Nautical it will be to Genoa from the 4 to the 12 of October.

Wir waren mit 3 Personen bei Pierluigi und seiner Familie zu Gast. Die Familie war sehr freundlich und die Ausflugstipps waren genial. Besonders die ruhige Badebucht "Punta Corvo" war ein High Light !!! Aber lieber ab Bocca die Magra die Fähre nehmen!

Die Wohnung war zweckmäßig, aber doch zum Wohlfühlen eingerichtet. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr sauber. Die Ausstattung war wie im Internet angegeben und für uns vollkommen zufriedenstellend.

Sehr schön war der Ausflugstipp zum Schloss Malaspina (Fosdinovo).
Da unser Navi auf dem neuesten Stand war, hatten wir keine Probleme, aber ohne Navi ist man lange unterwegs oder aufgeschmissen.

Man kommt mit Italienisch, Französich aber nur selten mit Englisch bei den Einheimischen weiter. Außer unser Pierluigi, der sprach auch Englisch!

Fazit: Ein toller Urlaub, sehr zu empfehlen! Wir würden immer wieder hinfahren!

Il Monticello ist eine Reise wert. Wir < 2Erw., 49/50> haben im Juli 09 im Apartment 2 Wochen Urlaub gemacht. Es war sauber ,ruhig und gemütlich und entsprach den Beschreibungen im Internet. Auf der wunderbaren Terrasse konnten wir abends den leckeren il Monticello Wein genießen. Auch das hauseigene Olivenöl ist sehr zu empfehlen. Als Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen ist Sarzana ein guter Ort. Ein Auto ist aber unbedingt nötig. Bezüglich der Restaurantauswahl sollte man Pierluigis Ratschlägen folgen.
