The peaceful and secluded 'Lov' lies amidst an ancient olive grove, planted centuries ago, by the moors and still lovingly cared for using organic methods. Set at 800 m on the south slopes of the Sierra Nevada surrounded by numerous fruit trees, lush flowers and abundant roses this verdant oasis makes you believe that maybe paradise is not lost after all. Relaxing on the poolside terrace enjoy the sweeping views of the mountain ranges dotted with little white villages and shady woodlands. The cortijo is very light, spacious, well equipped and with its love to detail offers a warm welcome home. The thick walls, double glasing of the windows and insulated roof insures a cool house in summer and a cosy warm home in winter.

You’ll find banks, cash machines, post office, various supermarkets, 2 health shops, a police station and an emergency health center. A GP, English spoken, lives nearby. Orgiva has developed into an alternative center, combining old Spanish tradition with the ecological orientated influence of the foreign community. This can be experienced every Thursday, 'Orgivas' market day.

Notes: Los Olivos Viejos features 2 spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other one has 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have their own fully equipped en-suite bathrooms, with bath and integrated shower, WC, basin and a big window. Gas boiler provides plenty of hot water. Each bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe. The living-room and kitchen area are enhanced by the traditional wooden beam ceiling. The kitchen area is very spacious and organized. It offers many modern electrical appliances, as electric coffee machine, food processor, toaster, juicer etc. Two French doors open onto the sun terrace, pool area and 'tinao' (open porch) the typical summer space of the Spanish cortijos. On the second terrace in front of the house, you can catch the last rays of the evening sun.

we have been visiting this villa now for 5 years ,we found this perfect place to get away from everything it is now our second home ,my son has grown up visiting here and regards it as our other house.we come back now twice a year in feb and aug.the whole aura of the place is pure relaxing ,enjoyable,with the most amazing views to wake up too!we never return to holiday destinations twice !however since finding this little haven we cannot stay away ,my only regret with this vila/place is I HAVE TO GO HOME !!! MISS U ALREADY T XXXX

Best villa for relaxation & fun.

We have been coming here for the past 5 years, and have enjoyed a week in January, two weeks in May, and a month in June/July/Aug.
Its a beautiful place whatever time you come, but for me to see the Spring flowers in May, is the best.
The villa is everything you could possible want, from its wonderful rural seclusion, to the welcome you receive from the hosts attention to detail. Its also extemely well maintained.
I would definitely recommend this cortijo for couples aswell as a family.
You are able to help yourself to the organic vegetables that the host grows, aswell as the abundance of fresh fruit growing on the trees around you.
Orgiva is only a 10min. drive away, where you can shop and enjoy their many restaurants. You also have the three white villages to explore, which are a very picturesque drive up the mountain.
This is the best cortijo I have stayed in and its a great location from which to see the Alpujarras.

We really liked the look of this cortijo when we were trawling the websites for a villa and it certainly delivered everything it promised! The location was stunning and there were many great locations and hill top villages of the Sierra Nevadas to explore. The coast and Granada were also within easy driving distance. The villa itself is a real 'find'. You will never get a better equiped or well designed cortijo with a more welcoming and friendly host. We had a FANTASTIC stay and we will definitely return!
