Activities in summer: Our house is perfect for all hiking lovers to start their walking or hiking tours. Without using your car, you can just start your walks to the surrounding Alps (mountain pastures) or up the mountains. Explore the marvellous landscape of the Alps with its special flora and fauna. This fascinating landscape of the 'Carina Alps Region' offers all different hiking possibilities, starting from a simple relaxing walk over meadows and fields and ending with special mountain hiking and climbing tours up to the Alps, mountain tops or the clear tarns. One of the warmest bathing lakes in Carinthia (up to 28°C) is located only 5 km far from our house. Various unhurried biking tours for the whole family as well as sophisticated tours for advanced (mountain) bikers could be started in Radnig. Through the valley of Gail runs the Carnia Biking Trail, just along the Gail River. There are different rest points, sights and attractions on the way, and different opportunities to swim.
Adventure Alps: As we are a member of the adventure Alps, we are able to offer you discounts of 20-30% and a variety of activities as rafting, canoeing, dinghy rafting on the river Gail. There are plenty more to choose from. The Carinthia Card (Kaernten-Card) (e.g. EUR 34.00 for one adult) is an inclusive card providing free access to more than 100 different attractions, museums, boat tours, toll roads with great panoramic views etc.
Ski:
Enjoy the wide range of offers in the Skiarena one of the Top 10 ski areas in Austria and find more than 101 km of slopes of all difficulty-levels, snowboarding and night skiing, and more than 200 km cross-country skiing-tracks. The special attraction is the 7,6 km long 'Carnia run' which goes down to the valley. The lower third make the longest floodlit slopes in Europe (2,2 km) to have an absolute great skiing by night experience.
