Villa Archi is a lone-standing house and has about 110 m² of living space. It has a living room with a kitchenette, fireplace, dining area and double bed couch. Furthermore, there is also 1 double room with a cot, a bathroom with a shower and a double room on the top floor with access through an indoor staircase. Heating is also available. There is a fully equipped patio with BBQ. Furthermore, there is SAT-TV in the villa. Our guests also have a private garden they can use.

The villa is surrounded by a private park (about 60 ha). It has a lot of impressive trees and is only two steps from the sea. It is located on a dominating hill between olive groves and vineyards. The production of wine D.O.C. is done personally by the owner.

The property was pretty much as described in most details,with some significant differences. There is no grill, only a 4 burner hob and a microwave. There is no bath, only a shower cubicle which leaks quite badly. We understood that the pool was shared with the owner's family, only to find that it was shared with all the occupants of the owner's adjacent B&B establishment as well(some 14 rooms!)

After collecting the key on our arrival we did not see the caretaker or the owner again all week, including on our departure, when we had to leave the key in the door and go for our flight.

The property is obviously geared up for people arriving by car and able to bring supplies etc with them. I doubt they receive many British visitors.

The area is beautiful, and very convenient for visiting many of Tuscany's greatest sites. There are many excellent places to eat, particularly in Cecina Mare, and shopping at the local supermarket is easy and fun.

I could recommend this property to a friend, as long as they were aware of the details I have noted.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Wir waren im Haupthaus der Anlage Ende August 08. Wir waren ein Ehepaar ohne Kinder. Alter 30 und 39 Jahre.

Unsere Wohnung war im EG im Hauptgebäude.

Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und entspricht nun wirklich nicht mehr den Hochglanzbildern der Ausschreibung.
Die Villa Archi ist über eine Schotterstraße zu erreichen.
Der Pool muss mit allen anderen Gästen der Anlage geteilt werden die meist jedoch unterwegs sind (wir haben es ebenfalls vorgezogen immer ans Meer zu gehen, welches ca. 15 km entfernt ist).
Direkt neben der Villa / Ferienhäusern steht das Haupthaus, in dem sich ca. 15 Wohnungen befinden.
Wir haben das Domizil eigentlich auch wegen dem Pool gemietet, der war jedoch gut chloriert und man muss ihn eben meist mit mind. 8 anderen Leuten teilen. Ich denke die restlichen Urlauber der Anlage haben es auch vorgezogen eher ans Meer zu gehen.
Es gibt Möglichkeiten zum grillen in der Anlage die jedoch mit den restlichen Gästen geteilt werden müssen.
Die Putzfrau / Lebensgefährtin des Besitzers (spricht nur italienisch) war am Anreisetag zur Schlüsselübergabe da jedoch haben auch wir sie die ganze Woche nicht mehr gesehen. Also wer Wein und Olivenöl des Besitzers kaufen will, gleich am Anreisetag machen. Am Abreisetag war sie wieder da um die Wohnungen für die neuen Gäste zu reinigen.

Zu jeder Wohnung gehören zwei Liegestühle und eine Biertischgarnitur. Wer also draussen Essen will muss es sich auf diesen gemütlich machen. Es gibt schöne alte Bäume auf der Anlage, dann muss man sich eben seine Liegen umstellen wenn man ein schattiges Plätzchen haben will.

Alles in allem waren wir etwas enttäuscht, da wir ein etwas romantischeres Domizil erwartet hätten.

Von der Anlage kann man jedoch schöne Ausflüge in die Toskana und mittelalterlichen Städte unternehmen da die Lage sehr gut ist. Romantische Abende auf der Anlage sind nicht so sehr möglich da eigentlich ständig jemand an der Tür vorbeiläuft.
Für Familien mit Kindern sicher besser geeignet da die mal kurz in den Pool springen können und in der Aussenanlage gibt es auch die Möglichkeit zum spielen.

Wir hätten für den Preis etwas Anderes erwartet.
