The name of the house refers to the activities of the former owners of the house; gold washing. The house is well kept, renovated and meets the today’s standards. The apartment house is situated in the Village of Bucheben. Bucheben is a quiet and relaxing village at the very beginning of National Park Hohe Tauern. Hiking and Loipe trails are starting from the house. The (ski-)bus is at 300 meters walking distance. You will have free access to our swimming pool and tennis court. We have a BBQ place with camp fire facilities. In de winter you have free access to the skating yard or can enjoy the sauna facilities. The nearest town is Rauris. Town and (ski-)lifts are only 10 min by car. All apartments are fitted with a fireplace, cable-TV and if you like, internet access. Our house is particular suitable for larger groups. Only for those larger groups we will make our -otherwise closed- restaurant facilities available. We can provide for rolls and other fresh bread in the morning.

Summer activities

In the summer there are many interesting walks to make in the National Park Hohe Tauern. There are several 3000 meter high mountains to climb with or without a guide but there are also numerous of more easy tours to make. Of course mountain bikers have plenty of opportunities to practise their sport. One can play mini golf in Rauris or the real thing in the near by Zell am See, swimming at the Sonnblick-pool or gold washing in the Huttenwinklbach, Horseback riding, Fishing, visit the Mozart city; Salzburg, take a look at the Salt mines or the inside of a Gletscher. And there are of course many more things to do or to visit.

Winter activities

You will find the nearest ski- snowboard pist in Rauris only 10 minutes away. There are many more ways to enjoy the snow. You can practice Langlaufen, there are swept winter walking tracks, you can make a track with snowshoes, Roddeln (going down hill on a sledge ), making a stroll in a horse open sledge. In the evening you can close your day feeling happily tired with a cup of Jägertea or schnapps.

Driving directions

You will find Rauris in the Salzburgerland in the region Pinzgau. You will drive from Munich to Salzburg and at Salzburg you take the Motorway (A10) to Villach. At the Exit Bischofshofen you go in the direction Zell am See along road nr 311. After the village of Taxenbach you will find the exit to Rauris. In Rauris you will conitnue the road to Wörth further into the valley. After about 5 km you will cross a bridge with at your right site hand a electricity house. Just after the bridge you take the road to the right and after 300 meter you will find the Goldgrube. You can also take exit 112 on the Motorway Munich-Salzburg and drive Inzell, Lofer, Zell am See. In Zell am See you follow the direction of Salzburg, road nr 311. Just before the village of Taxenbach, you find the exit to Rauris

Skiing Information:

The Rauriser Hochalmbahn (Skilift) brings you with the 6 persons Gondola von 1.000 to 1.780m above sea level. From there a 8 persons ski lift brings you to 2.211 meter. You can enjoy beautiful down hill slopes and tracks. A ´double Seat lift brings you from the valley to 1.400m. From there it goes further with a Anker lift higher up mountain. A broad, quit downhill track with beautiful view on the mountain landscape is the reward. Snowboarders and Alpine Skiers can polish up there abilities at the two ski school that can be found directly at the lift station in the valley.

Golf Information:

You can play Golf in Zell am See, Gastein or Goldegg. All Place in a reach of about 40 Km
