This beautifully renovated old and traditional Portuguese stone house promises to make your stay the most memorable one. The 76 m² encompasses 2 bedrooms, living room, bathroom and large family kitchen equipped for seating 6 people comfortably around the farmhouse table. In the living room there are a comfortable couch and chairs for 5. Satellite-TV and a fireplace will ensure that your leisure time is optimal. There are 2 bedrooms. One is furnished with double bed and the other one with 2 single beds, thereby making up the sleeping arrangements for 4 people. All bedding, towels and linen are supplied. A large, fully equipped kitchen includes fridge/freezer, microwave and gas powered ceran hob takes care of your culinary needs. In the bathroom the shower along with a modern toilet, wash basin, storage facilities and heating complete the room’s conveniences. The covered veranda lies closely to the outside barbecue grill and seats 8 people.

Service:

Your hosts, Leslie and Oliver Dittmers, made this idyllic island their home in 1998. Between us we speak English, German and Portuguese and it would be our pleasure to share this unique and wonderful island with you. Shuttle Service: We have a shuttle service between our estate and the main ports of entry. Our rates are most competitive. Car motorcycle rental: Local transport is restricted to an infrequent bus service or taxis when available. We would recommend that you consider one of the above options thereby enabling you to explore this wonderful island at your own pace. We would be happy to arrange your transport needs at preferential rates and availability. Laundry service: An in-house laundry service is available. Washing handed in before midday will be returned, dried and folded the next morning. Ironing will take a little longer. Library: A good variety of English and German books and informative material is available on loan.

Activities on shore

You tell to us what activities you desire and we will organise and book everything for you. Hiking/Walking: We can arrange a guide and/or maps to accompany you. Tours through the vine growing areas are a must. Picnic lunches on request. Tour Guiding: A tour guide is available for optimal exposure of the island. This service would be suitable for two people or more and can be arranged in your vehicle or we can supply a suitable one. Mountain Guide: Climbing Pico Mountain is another spectacular adventure. We would organise the required mountain guide for you. Shore based Sea fishing: Abundant places are available to pursue this wonderful activity. We have fishing gear available along with bait and all the secret places to from which to try your luck. Trout Fishing: High up in our mountains there are lakes in the extinct craters. These lakes have trout and we can, on request, arrange for this activity. Gear available.

Activities off shore:

Whale watching: Pico is famous for some of the best whale watching in the world. We can arrange this unforgettable experience for you with the local operators. Individual boat tours, sea fishing and diving are possible. These activities can be arranged through us on request. Fishing tour with a local fisherman: We have the opportunity to arrange a day trip with our local fisherman. Departure at 05:00h – 0600h, return at 12:00h – 13:00h. Or in the evening. You will be able to fish with line (no net). Depending on the season, mackerel, Veja, Bonitos, Peixe Porco, Bakuda, etc. may be the catch.
