The house has a quiet location, in a hilly landscape, 15 minutes by car from the beach. From the sunny terrace or from the shadow of the holm oaks, you have a large view upon the surroundings and the sea. There are vineyards and olive groves on a land full of history, which was cultivated by the Etruscans, who searched for the world-wide known white Alabaster. The apartment offers a family friendly ambient, for all ages. Pets are of course allowed. The seats and the dining place in the garden invite you for relaxing hours, and so does the outdoor terrace view. From here, you can take panoramic paths, as well as biking and hiking trails in the Nature Reserve of Castellina. The interesting cities of Pisa, Lucca, Florence, San Gimigano, or the Etruscan tombs in Populonia are easy to reach. You can go horse riding in Rosignano or in Doneratico, where you can also find the famous excursion destination - the fun park 'Cavallino Matto'.

Castellina Marittima has a dreamy location, surrounded by woods and pastures, nestled near a hilly chain, with an open view upon the Tyrrhenian Sea. On clear days, your view can reach out to the Islands Gorgona, Capria, Elba and even Corsica. There are a lot of possibilities for leisure activities in the hiking region of Castellina, including archery in the special equipped Parcours, where you can also enjoy good trainers. The near ‘white’ sand beaches and the turquoise sea of Vada invite you to bath, sail and windsurf.

Notes: The kitchen is completely equipped with cookware and dinnerware. There are plates, glasses and dinnerware for 8 people. Dish towels and table cloths are available. For the ones who enjoy grilling, a mobile, as well as a built barbecue are available any time. Bathing and hand towels are not available. The double bed in the parents’ room has 2 separate Lattoflex grids, with adjustable parts, and an orthopaedic mattress. Linen is available, as well as feather covers (Duvets) and pillows, and woollen blankets. The seating area in the garden can be extra covered with 2 large sunshades (3 x 3). Furthermore, there are 2 other relaxing seating areas, with table and sun chairs, belonging to the house.

Trips: Thanks to the central location of Castellina Marittima, it is easy to plan day trips. For example, you can take a boat to the Islands of Elba or Capria. During the summer, you can also enjoy cultural performances taking place in Castiglioncello (13 km), in Castello Pascquini, or in the famous Pineta Marradi. From the boat harbours in Rosignano, a walking path goes along the sea, to Castiglioncello (4 km). In the summer time, the public park in Castellina is the favourite meeting point for families and children. On evenings and during the weekends, there are different entertaining activities, organized for all ages. In the cold season, the entire family can enjoy the hot spring in the open air, in Venturina. Castellina Marittima also invites you to discover its Tuscany typical restaurants.

Shopping: New, large shopping centers have been opened in Cecina, Rosignano and Livorno. In the neighbouring towns, there are regular week markets, the one in Cecina taking place on Tuesdays (15 km from here).

Diving: The coast between Castiglioncello and Livorno is ideal for diving and snorkelling.

Sehr schöne und sehr gepflegte Ferienwohnung. Die sehr netten Vermieter, Doris und Norbert, gaben uns viele nützliche Tips für Ausflüge. Auf jeden Fall lohnt sich ein Ausflug zur Insel Elba. Auch unser Hund "Ole" fühlte sich sehr wohl.

Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub, sind sehr nett betreut worden,haben gute Tipps bekommen und wem es mit ca. 20 min. zum Strand nicht zu weit ist, verbringt hier einen sehr schönen,ruhigen Urlaub.
