Our farm is situated in an idyllic valley besides the Simonswaelder valley. The non-smoking apartments are in the guesthouse of our farm. They are furnished in a modern way. The farm lies amidst lovely heathers besides a small stream.

At the ground floor in our guesthouse there is since Easter 2005 a new, comport holiday flat for max 5 persons. It is also a non smoking flat .This flat offers, a living room with dining area, Sat- TV and a comfortable sitting area, kitchen with dishwasher and microwave and dining area. One bedroom with double bed, one bedroom with three beds, one shower/WC and a separate toilet. One west -balcony with chairs and a terrace. More sitting areas are available in our large garden

What you can experience Schingerhof

You and your family can enjoy a relaxing but exiting time with the friendly host family at the schingerhof. Our farm is a typical black forest farm surrounded by green fields and forests. For the last 25 years we have been offering guests an escape from noise and stress in well cared for holiday flats on our original black forest farm. On the Schingerhof farm you will find a stable full of animals that all have names. There is Fridolin the cock and his wives that walk around the farm. There are also five cows with their calves that eat the grass. On our farm there is peace and tranquillity at the pond or a bench at the ledge of the forest, a refreshing swim in the Griesbach river or a game of soccer on the small soccer field, a comfortable open air barbeque or a barbeque in the mill or a wonderful Old Years Eve with a bowl of punch.

Around Schingerhof

The Schingerhof is 4 km from Simonswald and 2 km from Obersimonswald. You will find shopping possibilities, many guesthouses, a heated outdoor pool, putt-putt, a museum and a restored mill. Presentations, club parties and events offer a welcome change. There are many tourist attractions in the area to discover - for example the Donauquelle which is 7 km away or the clock museum in Furtwangen. The Zweribachwaterfalls or the wonderful old town of Freiburg. The Triberg waterfall or the world’s biggest Cuckoo clock in Schonach. Within one hour you can reach Europapark, the Vogts farms in Gutach or the glass blowing in Wolfach, the Feldberg, titsee as well as Elsass or Switzerland. Perhaps you can visit our National Football team while they are training they prepare themselves at the Elztal Hotle Schwarzbauernhof which is 11 km away from us at the end of may for the European Championship.

Enjoy yourself at Schingerhof

Forget everyday life and enjoy yourself at the Schingerhof, a fresh bread roll with home made jam and butter and read more than two pages of your book while your children are feeding the goats or playing at the river or in the sand, the sparkling eyes of your children when they do their tractor licence or ride on the ponies, a beer after a tour through the Black Forest, the smell of fresh hay, the schnupps or liquor before the night walk, the fresh flower from the fields and and much more. In October the visiting children take out the Rübengeister and put it in the garden. On your 5th visit to the Schingerhof you will receive a Black forest cake. You can enjoy a quiet and relaxing break on loungers in our garden or on the balcony.

Skiing Information:

You can also spend pleasant and relaxing days with us throughout the winter season. Direct from Schingerhof or in the area there are many inviting places to walk. A sledding party on the slopes is also a wonderful experience for your children. In the simonswald valley you will find mountains of over 1000 m. The Kandel 1243m also has good winter sport possibilities. The Brend near Furtwangen, the Martinskapelle and the Rohardsberg also offer from November to march well prepared cross country ski tracks and winter walking trails. On all these mountains you have the possibility of stopping in at a guesthouse. Along the Schwarzwald Hochstrasse, 30 minutes away from us in Furtwangen and Waldau you will find small ski lifts. Well known winter sport events like the Schwarzwald marathon in Schonach start at the beginning of January and is only 25 km away. The world cup Ski jumping in Hinterzarten, 40 km away, is definately worth a visit.

Golf Information:

Information for golf players: You can relax and enjoy a round of golf in Gutach- Bleibach, a small town situated 6km away from us. The Gütermann Golf club welcomes you to around of golf on the 9 hole golf course which was opened in 1925. Requirements- membership in a golf club.
