Ca' del Viva is situated between Arezzo in the Arno Valley and Anghiari in the Tiber Valley. The house and cottages have panoramic views in every direction and stand in a beautiful tranquil position surrounded by meadows and typical Tuscan woods. The property was formerly part of a large estate owned by a Florentine marquis. Now Ca' del Viva produces olives, sunflowers and grain. There are four apartments available for holiday accommodation that has recently been restored to their original Tuscan style. A big pool and a little lake on the estate offer the opportunity for swimming during the hot summer months. There are also many beautiful walks to take in this completely unspoilt countryside. Ca' del Viva is a nature lover's paradise with over 7 km of tracks on the grounds and many private places where you can sunbathe, relax and take in the countryside. Nearby is a local restaurant, where you can enjoy excellent local Tuscan cuisine. Anghiari, Arezzo is famous for good restaurants.

Arco is named after its arched entrance. You enter the apartment through a glassed round arch door. In front of it you have your private terrace where you can see the Tuscan sunrise while having breakfast. Arco has a big bedroom with bathroom and a living room with fully equipped kitchenette.

  • Hello, my name is Herbert Nagel and I would like to welcome you to Cà del Viva. 25 years ago I came ato Italy to find an unspoilt place where I could live in lpleace and tranquility in the countryside. After a long search I found Cà del Viva and I fell in love with it. It took a long time to restore the buildings as I particularly wanted to respect their origins. Today you can enjoy a holiday in these stone farmhouses, restored and furnished in the traditional rural Tuscan style. During my time in Italy I have got to know many interesting places and discovered many traditions of this wonderful country and I would be very happy to share them with you. I look forward to hearing from you.

Enjoy the homemade food in the nearby restaurant 'Antico Posto di Ristoro' with its excellent kitchen, try ravioli with butter and sage, or homemade Tagliatelle with cream and fried mushrooms or their good meat from the barbeque.

Notes: Accommodation is in typical Tuscan farmhous that are more than 500 years old. They have recently been restored to the original Style with chestnut-beams and terracotta floors. Each apartment has central heating, fully equipped kitchen, private entrance and private furnished terrace. Arco with its thick stonewalls stays cool inside in the heat of the summer.

Sansepolcro where Piero della Francesca was born, Caprese Michelangelo where Michelangelo was born, Arezzo where every first Sunday in the month is a famous antique market.

Nature and animals: Bird watching: Watch the deers and wild-boars in the evening. Listen to the songs of the little birds, hear the frog-concert live, enjoy the countryside.

In the steps of San Francesco: There are many walks to do here on the land. In autumn you can find many mushrooms. There are although many signed walks to do. Even San Francesco passed nearby on its way to his first monastery at 'La Verna'.

Romantik und Italienisches Dolce Far Niente

Vielen Dank für 2 wunderschöne Wochen in der Wohnung Arco! Herrlich, mitten auf den toskanischen Hügeln gelegen, konnten wir uns so richtig gut erholen. Mal schwammen wir im großen Swimming-Pool, mal machten wir Ausflüge z.B. nach Arezzo, das 20 km entfernte historisch sehr interessante Städtchen oder setzten uns einfach in ein Cafe am Martkplatz in Anghiari, um das italienische Treiben zu beobachten.
Wenn wir abends auf unserer Terrasse bei Kerzenschein leckeren Vino Rosso tranken, den Grillen lauschten, Kätzchen vorbeischlichen, in der Ferne die Lichter von Arezzo und später die Sterne am Himmel in ihrer Vielzahl funkelten, dann war für uns die Welt in Ordnung.
Hier haben wir uns so richitg toll erholt und dazu noch sehr nette und freundliche Menschen kennen gelernt.

Die Angaben im Online-Inserat hinsichtlich Lage und
Ausstattung waren korrekt, jedoch wäre eine genaue Auflistung der Ausstattungsgegenstände speziel der Küche optimal (z.B. man wüsste, daß kein Backofen vorhanden ist). Die Ferienwohnung und das gesamte Anwesen waren sauber und gepflegt. Dies wurde von uns als sehr positiv empfunden. Der Vermieter war sehr zuvorkommend und gab uns gute Hinweise zu Ausflügen,
kulturellen Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung usw..Er war telefonisch immer für uns erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Freunden und Bekannten
Ca' del Viva bereits weiterempfohlen. Wir würden zu jeder Zeit wieder unseren Urlaub dort verbringen. Der Pool war
für uns, und der Badeteich für unsere Hunde sehr einladend. Es gab gute Wandermöglichkeiten in der
näheren und weiteren Umgebung. Unweit entfernt sind die Flüsse Tiber und Arno, der Stausee von Anghiari, das Chianti-Gebiet sowie mehrere Nationalparks. Restaurants
sind in allen Preisklassen vorhanden.
