In Steinpilzwald:
Within near distance of our fishery the Nossentiner-Schwinzer Heide starts, a huge area from the surface with big forests and many small and big lakes. In September and October until November here is the paradise for boletus collectors. You can find these boletuses between old oaks and old beeches, sometimes hidden in the grass. And they just taste wonderful! Can you imagine to eat fresh boletuses and an also fresh whitefish filet from Lake Old Schwerin or Lake Drewitz? If not than you have to experience it! From our fishery you can reach the mushroom forest by car or bike.
good luck anglers:
Sport and leisure anglers like to come to us, because they find here everything an angler needs: cosy accommodations, boats, food and drinks in our cosy fish restaurant, fishing tickets, decoys, a lot of lakes with many fish types are at choice and tips from fishermen.
The local lake is Lake Plauer (4300ha). Here you catch the big pike or the large eel. Also fantastic is to sit at our boat landing and to catch an eel or one of the many perchs. You can find at Lake Tauchow (50ha, about 500m distance) carps up to 20kg and big catfishs. The carps are outwitted from the specialists with Biolies and especially scale carps offer a fantastic challenge. The catfishs do not reach the size of Ebros but 10 kg are common. The capacities of carps and catfishs are maintained on a constant high level with young fishes through addition. A special is Lake Old Schwerin and Lake Drewitz
Lake Old Schwerin or Lake Drewitz:
This lake with its clear water has a size of 700 ha and is just 3 km away from our fishery. It is easy to reach by bike and car. Embedded in a neverending forest area it offers quietness and recovery, and also the flying eagles and the superb amount of fish. This was also known by Erich Honnecker, legendary chief of state in the former GDR, who had his hunting estate here. At a small hook we have our quay. From here you can start fishing with a rowing boat (motor boats are not allowed). The main fish types are pike, perch, tench, eel and carp. Especially interesting for fishermen like us are whitefish, because if smoked or roasted they are a delicacy, which our guests in our fish restaurant appreciate very much.
