Traditional Majorcan country house (2 storeys, 3 bedrooms for 5 people, 2 baths). It is situated in the north of the island, 1 km. from Pollença, by the picturesque Ternelles road, favourite of painters, leading to the Castle 'Castell del Rei'. Its charm is related to its authentic simplicity and quietness, the proximity to the mountains and the village, and the good views towards it and its XIV century hermitage at the top of a mountain. The terraces around the house, invite to relax and rest, in full sun or under the shade of vines. The surrounding area has mainly orchards, with isolated Majorcan style houses. The village can be reached with a nice 20 minutes walk, for example to go for dinner, small shopping, etc. The property has an orchard (mainly citrus trees, mixed with other fruit trees, roses, etc.), and a garden around the house, with a palm tree, willows, mandarin, bamboos, etc. (in total over 1.000 sq. m). Around 1920 this area of Pollença was a focus of bohemian painters.

One km from the house is Pollença, an old village from the time of the Arabs, and after the Romans, with about 13.000 inhabitants. It is surrounded by picturesque mountains and valleys, and is known by its old monuments (Cloister, Roman Bridge, Calvary, Churches, etc.), its narrow medieval streets, its lively Sunday market, its Summer Music Festival, etc.). There is a good assortment of bars, restaurants, art galleries, etc. Many streets are only for pedestrians, so the village is calm and relaxed. There is a good offer for all kind of shopping. The Port Pollença is distant 7 km, has a Marina, beaches and all kind of tourist resources.

Hiking: Pollença offers good hiking opportunities, combining sea or/and mountains in magnificent landscapes. There are short hikes, or longer ones taking a full day. Normally even in the middle of the winter you can hike as the weather is mostly mild.

Sailing: The Bay of Pollença, with nice landscapes all around, is 8 km. away from the house. Well sheltered, it is an ideal place for sailing and windsurfing. There are several sailing schools and rentals of sailing boats, windsurfing boards, or motor boats or yachts.

Cycling: There are plenty of possibilities for cycling, either in flat land, or going up picturesque mountains with beautiful landscapes. Sometimes the main Spanish cycling event (La Vuelta a España) passes by Pollença and its mountains. There are also remote roads to explore with mountain bikes.

Golf: There are 2 golf courses in this part of the island, one in Pollença itself, and the other in Alcudia (20 minutes drive). The rest, about a dozen, can be reached within a 45 -75 minutes drive.
