This is a spacious house with two apartments, located right above the dammed Vinuela Lake. It has a fantastic panoramic view of the lake and the mountains. You can plan you vacation, eat your breakfast, or enjoy the peace and quiet on our sunny, wind-protected patio, or beneath the pergola. The heated saltwater pool contains no chlorine. Ideal for swimming and sunning, it is very inviting indeed. Plenty of deck chairs and parasols are available by the pool. The apartments’ tasteful furnishings leave nothing to be desired. Your friendly hosts are always available for advice and tips for outings, restaurants, and the many local sights. Ronda, Granada, Antequera, Seville, and many little white Andalusian villages can be visited on day trips.

Lake Vinuela is a dammed drinking water reservoir, located about 20 km from the coast along the A356 between Torre del Mar and Casabermeja. It is about 50 minutes from Málaga airport. To get to Casa Barbara, turn right at kilometre 28, and follow the signs about 2.5 km along the good gravel road. Those who do not wish to search can stop at one of the two restaurants on the right hand side of the road at kilometre 30 (the numbers run in reverse), and call us. You’ll be picked up in about 10 minutes.

Rest and Relaxation: Our advantageous location offers plenty of possibilities for a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation. Costa del Sol’s lively beaches are all about 20 minutes away, as is the closest of one of many golf courses. You’ll enjoy rest and relaxation by the pool, and during the evening. There are many inexpensive restaurants nearby which offer typical local dishes amidst a friendly atmosphere, free of irritating mass tourism. We will also be happy to look after your children or pets from time to time.

Sports and Culture: A surfboard can be hired for surfing on the lake. Our guests may also use 3 mountain bikes without fee. There are hiking paths around the lake and in the vicinity. Once you are here, we will be happy to inform you about day trips to Andalusia’s cultural sites.

Services: You don’t want to rent a car? No problem. Should you wish, we offer private airport transfer for up to 4 people, including baggage. During your stay, we offer a shopping and driving service, as well as individual care.

Ski: The Sierra Nevada ski resort, in which one can enjoy excellent sports for most of the year, is not more than 2 hours away.

Golf: The closest golf course is located about 20 minutes away. The rest of Costa del Sol’s many golf courses are about 1.5 hours away.

Urlaub im schönen Andalusien.

Wir waren im September das 9.Mal Gäste im Domizil Casa- Barbara. Die Herzlichkeit mit der die Gäste aufgenommen werden ist schon beein- druckend. Die Appartements sind erstklassig ausgestattet, und im Bad und in der Küche ist alles vorhanden. Das Frühstück am Morgen nach der Ankunft ist für Jedermann ein Genuss. Der Pool ist super gepflegt und selbst dort sind für jeden Gast Badetücher vorhanden. Wir werden auch weiterhin Gäste im Haus Barbara im nächsten Jahr sein. Dieses Domizil ist für Familien sowie Senioren bestens geeignet einen schönen Urlaub zuverbringen.
Owner's Response: Jeder Gast, der Ruhe und Natur liebt, ist genau richtig bei mir und ich versuche die Vorzüge dieser Landschaft und seinen Bewohnern meinen Gästen nahe zu bringen, dazu gehört auch meine Gastfreundlichkeit.

Gastfreudschaft die ansteckt...

Wir sind jetzt 3 Mal (1 x Sommer, 2 x Herbst) bei Harald und Barbara am Vinuela-Stausee gewesen und sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal. Wir erinnern uns immer gern an die unglaubliche Gastfreundschaft der beiden in dieser grünen Oase, die vollständig und liebvoll eingerichteten Appartements, die gute Lage als Startpunkt für vielerlei Ausflüge (Granada, Malaga, Ronda etc.) und die unglaubliche Stille an den lauschigen Abenden auf der Terrasse vor den Häusern.

Die Kinder lieben besonders den beheizten Pool und Billy, den Haus- und Hofhund. Wir schätzen darüber hinaus das überaus gute Preis-Leistungsverhältnis der Unterkünfte und die schnelle Erreichbarkeit aus Deutschland. Vom Flughafen in Malaga ist man mit einem Auto in weniger als einer Stunde am Ziel. Hat man dann das Ziel erreicht, beginnt ein Urlaub der besonderen Art. Der Kühlschrank im Appartement ist gefüllt, ein erster Begrüßungsdrink wird auf der Terrasse der Gastgeber eingenommen. Am nächsten Morgen erwartet uns ein Frühstück der Extraklasse mit selbstgekochter Marmelade, Bio-Eiern von hauseigenen Hühner und sonstigen spanischen Köstlichkeiten. Man fühlt sich umsorgt wie bei „Muttern“ und das zieht sich dann wie ein roter Faden durch den gesamten Urlaub. Zu jeder Zeit spürt man diese uneingeschränkte Hilfsbereitschaft, die zu keiner Zeit aufdringlich wirkt. Ein besonderes kulinarisches Highlight ist immer eine Einladung zu einer besonderen Spezialität von Harald, der „Andalusischen Paella alla Casa“. Genossen haben wir aber genauso den kleinen ungezwungenen Plausch mit den beiden zu einem kalten Tinto di Verano am Nachmittag am Pool.

Doch genug der vielen Worte. Ich glaube aus dem oben beschriebenen wird deutlich. Wir sind inzwischen mit dem Casa Barbara-Virus hochgradig verseucht und freuen uns auf weitere Besuche.

hohe Erwartungen übertroffen ...

Wir lasen die vielen hervorragenden Bewertungen und waren schnell überzeugt, dass unsere ersten Andalusienferien bei Barbara bestimmt auch für uns zu einem Erlebnis würden.
Und so war es auch: eine äusserst zuvorkommende Gastgeberin, eine perfekt eingerichtete und blitzsaubere Ferienwohnung, eine Umgebung, die alle Wünsche erfüllte!
Ein geschmackvoll gestalteter Garten, ein zu jeder Tageszeit faszinierendes Panorama und ein Begrüssungsfrühstück, das besser nicht sein könnte, trugen viel zu unserer Begeisterung bei.
Ein grosses Kompliment dir, liebe Barbara!
Doch jetzt hören wir auf zu schwärmen, denn wir möchten ja nochmals wiederkommen und uns durch unsere Bewertung nicht die Chancen auf eine freie Woche verbauen...

Traumurlaub bei Barbara

Liebe Barbara,
leider ist unser schöner Urlaub bei Dir schon zu Ende. Es war einfach traumhaft schön bei Dir, denn Du bist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Das Appartement ließ keine Wünsche offen, es war alles vorhanden, super gepflegt und sauber. Die Ausstattung des Appartements ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig. Ich werde meinen Freunden und Bekannten deine Anlage empfehlen, denn man kann bei Dir sehr schönen und entspannten Urlaub verleben, damit man den folgenden Alltagsstress wieder gestärkt angehen kann.

Noch viel besser als erwartet!!!

Ausschlaggebend für unsere Buchung waren die sehr positiven Bewertungen der anderen Urlauber.
Da wir außerdem mit zwei Familien Urlaub machen wollten, schien das Casa Barbara das ideale Urlaubsdomizil zu werden.
Und das ist es auch !!!
In der Wohnung fehlt es wirklich an gar nichts. Die Ausstattung ist sehr hochwertig und hat nichts von "Ferienwohnung-Charakter". Man fühlt sich sofort zuhause.
Das Grundstück ist liebevoll angelegt und wird im Laufe der Jahre sicher immer schöner werden. Wir haben es genossen, die Zitronen für den "tinto de verano" vor der Tür zu pflücken und wären gerne mal Gäste, wenn die Granatäpfel reif sind.
Das Highlight -nicht nur für die Kinder!- ist der sehr gepflegte Poolbereich mit seinen schönen Sitz-und Liegeplätzen. Auch dort ist alles vorhanden: Auflagen für die Liegen, Handtücher, Wasserspielzeug. Die Aussicht von dort ist umwerfend!
Und hinter allem steht eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin, die stets sehr um ihre Gäste bemüht ist. Gastfreundschaft in dieser Art haben wir noch nie erlebt (danke für ALLES, Barbara!).
Wir hoffen sehr, dass wir auch im nächsten Jahr Gelegenheit haben werden, dort unseren Urlaub zu verbringen!
