Verdant plants drape and hang everywhere and fine art hangs on the walls. This is no ordinary bathroom, this is a sanctuary! Complete with a steam shower and six foot soaker tub, entering this bathroom is like a spa experience. During the day, you can soak in the tub and watch the clouds pass by overhead through the huge skylight. At night, light candles and meditate under the stars...

  • Passing through the double French doors into the master suite, you will immediately feel right at home in your own separate area. Soaring vaults in the ceiling allow for huge south facing windows. It's the best of both worlds - spectacular mountain views and complete privacy. Pine and aspen trees frame the views and host a variety of small bird and other wild life - you'll feel like you're up in the trees with them. A King Size bed, imported from Indonesia, is situated to look out over the Bow Valley and the mountains beyond. Two large closets are fitted out to accommodate everything from long dresses to shorts and slacks. There is also a 32-in flat screen TV complete with DVD and CD player in a pine cabinet that keeps them out of sight when not in use.

We stayed at the condo in July, 2007. We found that the property was all that was advertised and more. Shortly after arrival we were greeted by an owner representative to welcome us to the condo and familiarize us with the amenities and the area. The condo was clean, well maintained and inviting. Grizzly Ridge is located high in the hills overlooking Canmore and the surrounding views are spectacular. We found the condo to be an excellent base point for many of the day trips we took to Banff, Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Columbia Icefields etc. After a day in the fresh air, enjoying a barbecued dinner on the deck couldn't be beat. If you are looking for accommodations that provide a spectacular, quiet setting and luxury amenities, this is for you. We will definitely stay here on our next trip out west. Also, the owner was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing
Owner's Response: SilverTip is indeed high in the hills overlooking town, in a private and scenic setting with lots of sun due to its south facing exposure. It integrates beautifully with the surrounding landscape and is surrounded by natural landscaping and lots of wild life.

Grizzly is great

Had a brilliant time staying at Grizzly Ridge last February the drive up to the House was superb the snow excellent and after a days skiing the whole family enjoyed the home comforts especially the wonderful bathroom and candles. the computer is a bonus to check on snow reports and the TV was brilliant along with the selection of dvds . The owner is extremely courteous to deal with Hoping to return again soon

We recently completed our second rental of this condo. It is in a lovely spot and is well set-up for a very comfortable week's stay. The owner is a delight to communicate with and it is obvious that he is trying to provide a first-class vacation experience. In this regard, he has succeeded.

Website photos are accurate as is the descriptive material. Canmore is a great base for outdoor summer activities in and out of Banff NP. Don't miss Sage Bistro restaurant and the Thai restaurant is very fine also. Golf at Stewart Creek is wonderful as is the course at Banff Springs.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: Over half my guests are repeat couples and families who love the townhouse and the area. I've done many recent upgrades since this review , including a new home theater system with Blu-Ray, 52" HDTV, and Polk/Harman Kardon 7.1 Surround Sound, and a brand new 20" iMac with high speed internet in the breakfast nook.

Fabulous rental and wildlife vacation!

The condo was spectacular! It was immaculate and provided everything you could possibly want in terms of amenities. All of it was beautiful, but the views....oh my! the views! There isn't a bad view from anyplace in this unit. We rested at night in the master with a full moon shining through the huge windows. We are amateur photographers and found the wildlife in the national parks unbelievable. We were able to get "up close and personal" shots of big horn sheep, mountain goats, moose and elk. Our stay was the first week in November, 2006. The first salting of the roads in the parks had taken place. While there was no snow remaining on the roads, the salt appealed to the animals. Many of our photos were taken without even getting out of the car. Do yourself a favor and take some time to visit this beautiful condo and this part of Canada.
