Amenities: A large entry hall, decorated with fine art and with several built-in closets, leads to a fully furnished and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, stove, all utensils and ample dishes.
A storage/computer room is to the left after you enter the apartment. The computer has DSL internet access.
On the left of the entry hall is a large, modern tiled bath with washer/dryer, tub and overhead shower, hairdryer.
An arched open doorway leads into the spacious living/dining area (with round dining table and 6 chairs) which has custom made furniture, one very comfortable fold out queen sized sofa, 2 chairs, entertainment unit with cable TV (English channels), video, stereo, games and books.
From this room you enter into the master bedroom which has a queen size bed, large built in closets, dresser with six drawers, mirrors, night stands, alarm clock and lamps. The window faces into the yard. Includes plenty of bedding.
From the living room you walk out onto the tiled terrace which has table and chairs and into the garden. The apartment has hardwood floors which are covered with classic oriental rugs. Nice art decorates the walls.
Activities: Winter time offers skiing (downhill and cross country) in many surrounding areas, sledding, sleigh rides, apres ski parties, spas, snow shoeing, ice skating, evening concerts, operas, folklore, theater, dining in excellent restaurants etc. Five ski areas in the surrounding area can be accessed by public transportation.
Summer time is famous for walking and hiking, miniature golf, glacier skiing, horseback riding, soccer, golf, swimming, nightlife, dancing, casino, theater, outdoor concerts, classical music, church concerts etc.
Area: Beautiful Innsbruck, (pop. 127,000) is the capital of the Tirol, (one of nine provinces in Austria) at about 2100 ft elevation and has hosted the 1964 & 76 Winter Olympics. The quaint 800 year old downtown area has been modernized and offers museums, theaters, opera, symphony hall, convention center zoo, tennis, public swimming pools, tennis halls, sports arenas and movies.
Ski:
A new tram cable car goes from downtown Innsbruck up to the Seegrube & Hafelekar for skiing or you can catch the ski buses from the train station to the various ski resort around Innsbruck or Tirol. You never have to ski a slope twice, the variety will amaze you.
Golf:
Innsbruck has a famous university with about 20,000 students, medical and congress center. Restaurants, Old Town, shopping, theater, movies are within walking distance in the neighborhood. Walking to old town takes 10-15 minutes.
