Large, beautifully appointed detached house on two floors. Sleeps 9 + 2 in 4 double bedrooms, one with a third single bed, plus double sofa bed if required in the downstairs dining area. The Villa has a comfortable cool lounge with a balcony off and separate dining room, all on the upper floor along with three of the four bedrooms and two of the three bathrooms. On the ground floor is the fourth bedroom and the third bathroom together with another dining area and a second kitchen. The main bedroom as a beautiful ensuite with tiled bath/shower and marble vanity units, W.C. and bidet.

Amenities: The two further fully tiled bath/shower rooms each have a W.C., bidet and marble vanity units. The fully equipped kitchens each have a dishwasher, gas/electric cooker/oven and fridge/freezer. Villa Linda has the following facilities: Barbecue, Sky TV, telephone, Laundry Room with washing machine, tables and chairs outside on the patio for dining al fresco, sunloungers and hammocks for lazing, irons.

The Villa is tiled throughout and has wooden window shutters for coolness and has its own private off road parking area right opposite its shaded garden, shared with the Casa Rita. The double beds are large and extremely comfortable and all sheets, pillows and pillowcases together with bath, hand and tea towels are provided as are soap, toilet rolls, dishwasher powder, washing up liquid, etc. Pariana is a Hilltop village (600 metres a.s.l.) surrounded by chestnut trees, olive groves and fruit trees. It is a beautiful place to walk around. Area: It is an excellent base from which to visit: -all the arts cities (Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, Vinci, Collodi, Prato, etc. ) -beaches (Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Livorno, Riviera degli Etruschi, Isola d'Elba, etc.) -mountains (Pizzorne, Abetone, Svizzera Pesciatina, Alpi Apunane, etc.) -bath (Terme) of Montecatini Terme and Monsummano Terme.

The Villa Linda and Casa Rita are approx 55 Km from Airports of Florence and Pisa.

Wonderful Experience!

We stayed at this beautiful villa for two weeks in August 2009. It was clean, well maintained, and homey. The small town, Pariana, is very quiet and inviting. All of our neighbors at Villa Linda went out of their way to talk to us and make us feel at home. There are many fun activities to do around Pariana. When the time comes to see larger cities like PIsa and Florence, the drive is beautiful and easy to navigate.

The villa itself comfortable sleeps family and friends. There is a washer and dryer available for your use and a fully working kitchen. There is a safe driveway to park your car each evening. The back deck is the perfect place to drink a glass of wine at the end of the night or get some sun in the morning.

Overall, Villa Linda was an experience we'll never forget! There's nowhere in Italy we'd love to stay more than Villa Linda.

You will fall in love in Pariana

If you like massive crowds of tourists, by all means forget about this rental. The village of Pariana is a quick drive to Pescia, a very nice little town with a lovely piazza and good amentities, very close to Lucca, and about 40 minutes drive to Florence, although the train in Pescia runs frequently and gives you the chance to meet the "locals", who were all charming and glad to try to speak with you. "5-terra", Piza and Siena are all easy day trips, although it is best to get out of the house early. Callodi, home of Pinocchio, has an excellent restaurant at reasonably prices, and Danny, the owner of Villa Linda, is most accomidating. Perhaps the high point of our visit was the "Festa" on Saturday night and the bizarre and wonderful handball tournament held in the village piazza, about the size of a healthy tennis court. There is a good food market in Pescia, bus service up the very curvy mountain road three times daily, and a small store that bakes bread by wood oven daily. Villa Linda is spacious and modern, having been built in the early 70's, with good amenities, and cool when the brutal summer heat in the cities makes one wilt. Driving anywhere in Italy is an experience, and I would not recommend the road up to Pescia for timid drivers, but it is something you definitely get used to, and perhaps the reason that the locale is still so lovely and real. The village of perhaps 300 souls has a 14th century church, a bar with gelato and cafe that opens at 9 in the summer, and just up the mountain at Pizzola a view that defies description--you can see Cinqua Trerra, Piza, Florence, and Seina in a vista that stretches out forever.

It was the people of Pariana that most impressed me---so very friendly and accomidating-don't leave home without your phrase book, especially during he day when the younger folks are at school or work! My family, aged 80 to 16, all loved the stay.
If we are every fortunate enough to return to Italy, we will very definitely be stopping back to stay a few nights.
Well worth the money in my opinion!

A great stay at Villa Linda

We rented Villa Linda for two weeks in September, 2008, and had an excellent experience. The villa is located in the small village of Pariana, up a winding (but well maintained) road near Pescia. An auto is definitely a requirement if you visit the area. The house was attractive, spacious and immaculate, and everything was in good working condition throughout our visit. Up to 7 people at a time stayed in the house, with plenty of room left over. From the villa it was easy to visit much of Tuscany, including day trips to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. The price was great (REALLY great!) and payable in US dollars, which helped us plan our budget for the trip.

But the best part of renting Villa Linda was getting to know its owner, Danny. He couldn't do enough nice things for us. The lunch trip we took one Saturday during our stay was a memory I'll keep forever. He is an original character. I became so fond of him I just stopped by to visit him in 2009 when I was passing through Tuscany. You will not be disappointed in Villa Linda or its owner, Danny. Ciao, Danny!!
