Photos and Description of this McHenry holiday house 6BR/3BA Lakefront Home Deep Creek MD 2 Hrs from Pittsburgh 3 Hrs from Washington

This home is located in a year' round resort area that is meant for fun. Western Maryland's record snowfalls make this ski area a 'must visit'. The ski resort is just a few minutes drive and there plenty to do with skiing, sledding, tubing and more!! The ski resort, Wisp, has 22 trails to cater to all level skiers. Excellent cross-country skiing is available close by at Heritage Manor and Swallow Falls State Park. This home is ideal for entertaining. There is large sun room with ping-pong table and TV on the first floor. The views of the lake and woods from this room's wrap-around French doors are breathtaking. The roomy living room with inviting stone fireplace and TV are geared for relaxing. Upstairs is a game room with 8 ft pool table, darts and TV/VCR/Stereo that overlooks the lake. There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor: BR 1 Queen with master bath, BR 2 Queen, BR 3 Twin.

On the second floor, BR 4 Queen with separate vanity and sink area, BR 5 Double with pretty window seat, and BR 6 one Double and 2 Twins, this is a great room for all the kids. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, blender, all dishes/utensils and barware. Everything for a great time. Outdoors you will find a six-person Hot Tub, picnic table, old fashioned swing, viewing the lake and table and chairs on the brick patio. There is a dock that can accommodate 2 boats.

Plenty of room, pool table, ping-pong, fireplace, hot tub, fireplace and large yard.
Activities:
Winter: Great downhill and cross country skiing, sledding, tubing, ice fishing, snowshoeing and sleigh rides. In Spring, Summer, Autumn, the lake area is busy with water activities galore-Boating, sailing, fishing and swimming. For bikers and hikers this area is perfect.

With State Parks at the lake and near by, there is endless opportunity to challenge yourself. Great golf courses are nearby to test your skills. If you like a slower pace, there is antiquing, shopping and wonderful restaurants near this lake home.
Area:
This lakefront home is within walking distance of Deep Creek Lake State Park. There you can launch your boat and check out the daily list of free activities offered by the State Park, such as organized hikes, lectures and campfires. Deep Creek Lake has everything from miniature golf, movies, theaters, and shopping. Festivals, fairs and concerts are popular attractions.

Great spot on the lake

My extended family had a great time at this house. Its location on a quiet end of the lake is private and away from the crowd. We lived in the back patio and yard, which goes down the hill to the lake and the dock, enjoying the swing, the fire pit, the view, and the mild weather.

The house itself is a little quirky, but we had lots of room and a well-equipped kitchen. The upstairs pool room was a big favorite, and our teen chose to sleep on the sofa there, close to the stereo, tv, etc. The owners were very pleasant to deal with.

Grocery stores, movie theaters, restaurants are not within walking distance, but they are easily accessible by car.
