Walk across the road to the white sand and turquoise water of beautiful Kailua Beach! Shut the door of your spacious bedroom/sitting room and let the kids or others traveling with you relax and watch TV/DVDs or use the high speed Internet connection on the computer in the other bedroom/living room! Turn the central ac on and cool down, or open the windows and sliding glass doors and let the ocean breeze blow through your airy second story apartment! Prepare a light meal or snack in the kitchen, or drive for a few minutes to downtown Kailua or 25 minutes to downtown Honolulu for a meal at one of the many restaurants! Our vacation rental is a very spacious 1,000 sq. ft, making it very comfortable for 2-5 people. It has 2 brand new top of the line Simmons queen beds, and one twin bed. There is a computer with a high speed Internet connection, 2 TV/DVD players, and a well equipped kitchen area with a dining table and chairs for 5.

Kailua is a beautiful town away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but close to its own beautiful, white sand beaches that are clean and uncrowded. Nestled at the base of mountains on the Windward side of the island, Kailua is only 15-20 minutes from downtown Honolulu, and only 40 minutes from the attractions on the North Shore. Our property is within a mile of the town's shops and restaurants, and only 300 yards from the beach. If you are looking for a more relaxed, low key, local style vacation, without skimping on comfort, style and beautiful attractions, Kailua will fit the bill perfectly.

Enjoy some of Oahu's many other attractions, such as hiking, boating, diving, surfing, swimming with tropical fish, shopping, etc.

Area: Our property is less than a block from beautiful Kailua Beach, a few minutes drive from Lanikai Beach, 5 minutes from downtown Kailua, and only 25 minutes from the beaches at Waikiki and Honolulu. If you would like to explore the beautiful beaches of the North Shore, they are only 20-40 minutes away.

Nice location, great value

This apartment is away from the uber hustle of Waikiki, but still near a lot of nice activities in the town of Kailua. The apartment is not fancy but is a great value for the price. You don't come to to Hawaii to sit inside anyway, right? The main thing is that everything was clean and comfortable. The owner met us upon check-in, which is a nice touch, and gave her simple and reasonable rules: shoes off when you go in, air conditioner off when you go out.

Beyond that, it's about a 2 minute walk to Kailua beach which I think is one of the nicer spots on Oahu. A nice, comfortable place at an unbeatable price.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Friendly, accurate, clean, fairly new, as advertised, definitely recommended.
Best food at less expensive local restaurants in town.
Gorgeous area, great beach nearby.
A few nits: street sign missing on one of 2 intersections (makes finding place a bit tough at first), towels are a bit stiff/scratchy, AC only effective in 2nd large room, but 2nd story location gives front (other) room great air flow w/great views.
Owner's Response: Power in Hawaii is among the most expensive in the U.S. In an attempt to reduce consumption of limited resources, we line dry our towels in the sun and fresh ocean breeze. Because of this they are slightly stiffer than they would be if dried in the dryer (however, they are great for gently increasing circulation!) We hope our customers understand why we do this, however, we are happy to provide towels dried in the dryer upon request.
