The half of the semidetached house has 2 floors and is located in the middle of a lovely arranged, natural, 36.000 m² large estate. From Plateau des Areals, over the mild hills, you can see the sea, 2 km away from here. The covered terrace offers a wonderful view in every season, and it protects from sun and rain. The air conditioned building has Costa Rican style and is equipped according to European standards. Within 250 m there is a small village where you can find a comfortable bar and a small supermarket. There you can get everything you need. The surroundings will be a delight for nature lovers.

The small village Esterones is located between the tourist, famous towns of Samara and Nosara, and it is only 2000 m away from a fantastic, isolated sand beach. The heart of the peninsula, the city of Nikoya, with banks, supermarkets, hospitals, market halls, bus station and all typical shops can be reached in only 40 - 45 minutes by car. The house is very close to the beach. You can explore the surroundings by car, and visit the numerous nature parks. For certain activities you might have to rent a car. We can give you useful tips. Here you can enjoy pure relaxation (for instance the hammock on the veranda). From the terrace you can admire the various local fauna: Tucane, iguanas, howler monkeys, flower birds, parrots and many other bird arts, butterflies, etc.

Notes: Special advice from the owner: The upper sleeping gallery with double bed has been though as a parents’ room. The access is over a staircase in the living room. The access to the staircase is not suitable for children. The usage of seating platform of the Ranchos (by the owner’s house) is possible only at one’s own risk. The parents have to assume responsibility for their children. Equipment: shower, double washing stand and sink with warm water. The usage of the telephone, fax and washing machine is possible only in the presence of the owner, for a certain charge.

Close neighbourhood: In the closely located Samara (6 km), there are traditional restaurants and small sale stalls of the locals. Pharmacy, medical service, bank, cash dispenser, post, several Internet cafes and different providers of vacation activities (excursions of all kinds) are also available. An ultralight flight would also be a great experience. The runway and airstrip are only 1.2 km from Cabina Mariposa.

Day trips: Day tripy to the following destinations are really worth it: National Parks of Barra Honda (70 km), Ostional (35 km), Santa Rosa (140 km), Vulkan Rincon de la Vieja (150 km), Lago Arenal (150 km), Vulcan Arenal (200 km), Monterverde und St. Elena (145 km).

Tropical fruit directly by the house: On our small Finca, you will find Papaya, bananas, pineapple, mango, star fruit, limes, coco nuts, grape fruits, and many more. According to the season, there is always something for you to enjoy. Soon we will extend our fruit offer with apples, mandarins and oranges.

Wir haben vom 19.01-18.02.06 Urlaub in Costa Rica gemacht und haben uns glücklicherweise für die Finca Cabina Mariposa entschieden. Wer Ruhe und Natur sucht, der findet sie direkt auf ' La Terrrassa'. Jetzt ein paar Sätze zum Haus. Wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt, da an Komfort und Behaglichkeit alles vorhanden ist. Abgeschiedenheit und Ungestörtheit sind gegeben, da das Haus auf einem Hügel liegt. Unsere Beurteilung 1A! Jetzt ein paar Sätze zum Personal. Der zuverlässigste Mitarbeiter ist Django, der Hund. Er muss auf Haus und Hof aufpassen und das macht er hervorragend! An ihm traut sich keiner vorbei, aber wenn man mit ihm bekannt gemacht wird, dann ist er ein ganz liebes Tier. Wir haben ihn sehr ins Herz geschlossen. Dann gibt es noch Juan, den Verwalter, der seine Aufgaben im typisch südländischen Stil bewältigt. Für uns ist klar, Urlaub in C.R. nur auf der Finca Mariposa. Danke für alles. Elke Heckmann und Thomas Kampf aus Herford
