I am finally returning home from several weeks on the road and I wanted to let you know what a great time we had during our time in Tahoe. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your beautiful home in Marla Bay. You can expect to hear from us on our next trip out to the lake. We are already planning on spending an entire month in Tahoe next summer. Thanks again for the use of your lovely home - it was perfect!

Good but not

Good points: This home is newer and very clean. The family room area is large and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped with the basics. Master bedroom/bath huge. Lots of space in general, plenty of room for a family. Short walk to the Marla Bay beach, short drive to Zephyr Cove beach and others. Perfect distance to grocery store and stateline for a family - close but not too close!

Not-so-good points: The advertising is a bit exagerated. Views are not "spectacular" nor "panoramic", as described. (The picture does not depict the view.) You have a peak view of the lake as you look past the unattractive house right next door. It's not "private", as you have many houses right around you. And if you have the misfortune of noisy partying going on nearby as we did, you really can't avoid the noise. The owners also often walk by and come to the house to get stuff from the garage, so again, not very private. The beach is pretty, but very narrow, and those who own houses right on the beach leave all of their boats/waverunners/stuff all over so there isn't much room for others, and you feel a bit like you're invading their space. The beds range from awful to okay, the two twins were especially bad.

Overall, it was a good place to stay, although not "Grand Style." Perhaps at this price point it was about right. We're not likely to stay again.
Owner's Response: Everyone loves the property and the area. Marla Bay is a wonderful "old Tahoe" area with a combination of new and old homes. It is down by the Lake and therefore you are not secluded in the forest. Most visitors think Marla Bay has one of the best beaches at Tahoe. The caption combines two properties and they were told there is a filtered lake view. Neighbors had a once in a life time family reunion because there was a terminally ill family member. No one, not even these guests, told us about the twin beds. They have been changed. We have numerous guests that return every year. Would be glad to provide references to anyone.
