This spacious seventh floor luxury penthouse has three bedrooms and three complete bathrooms with 1750 square feet of living area. Two bedrooms have queen size beds and the other bedroom has two regular size beds. It is a west unit with direct ocean views and has two private wrap around balconies. Each balcony has two cornering door walls for maximum views. The Whaler is a Low Density Unit that has an excellent location and is within easy walking distance of downtown Gulf Shores and its fine restaurants and shops. This condo is well maintained in top condition and is well equipped to provide you with quality accommodations. As owners we are directly involved in making certain that this unit is maintained in like new condition. There is a large elevator and carts to transport your belongings. There is an abundance of shopping in the Gulf Shores area and in Foley, a few miles north on Highway 59. A new Super Wal-Mart is less than two miles away. Small pets are considered.

Our stay at this property was perfect for my husband, our adult daughter, and me. A bedroom and bath for each individual, the balconies were great with lovely views, the furniture was comfortable, the decorating was contemporary...the list goes on. Highly recommended for all,

Perfect stay at the beach

My sisters and I stayed 5 days at this condo and had a wonderful time. The condo is big, comfortable and the area is quiet and peaceful. The view of the beach was absolutely fantastic from the master bedroom. The condo was clean and well furnished and the security deposit was returned in less than a week. We enjoyed our girls week so much we are already planning for next year! Thanks for the great time!

Great Location but with Problems

While the location of this condo was fantastic, it did not quite make up for the lack of cleanliness, uncomfortable beds and substandard appliances. My family had a wonderful time in Gulf Shores and will be making another trip as soon as possible, however we will be looking for a different unit to stay in. The condo was quite roomy and adequate for my family of six. However, we spent the first evening there cleaning due to the poor job done by the owners' cleaning service (we even found dirty clothes from the previous renters under the bed). Then to add to the disappointment, this same cleaning service claimed additional cleaning was required when we left and part of the security deposit was retained. (Imagine our disappointment after doing the cleaning service's job to then be charged - I wonder about the ethics of such a company.)

As I said, the condo is in a wonderful location at the quiet end of the beach and is quite roomy. Just be warned that you will likely have to do some cleaning and you should not count on getting your entire deposit back.

Not even the poor experience with the cleaning service / owners put a damper on our vacation though and I highly recommend Gulf Shores for a family vacation, just not in this condo!
Owner's Response: This guest obviously did not read the departure instructions which clearly states that dishes must be cleaned and returned to the cupboards. A small charge was applied from housekeeping. Since this unit was inspected personally by the owner after housekeeping and prior to this guest's arrival on Mar 14, there were no dirty clothes under the beds and this unit was very clean. A brand new blind was pulled off from the rod and gum was found on a rug, both required replacement. This guest did receive both a phone call and written itemization of the damaged items, and the statements concerning cleaning are incorrect.

Great Place to Stay!

After spending 2 weeks here, we really didn't want to leave. The condo is so open and spacious, nicely laid out for comfortable living. Lots of sunshine! The views of the beach and Gulf from the decks in the living area and master bedroom. The sound of the waves coming in is the only music one needs. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and the decor was pleasing and modern. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc and generous linens for the baths. Location was perfect, being right on the beach, and close to restaurants, activities, walking, and shopping. Don't miss going to DeSoto's for lunch or any other meal for that matter, excellent food and great prices, too! Great walking paths in Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge. So many other pluses. We are coming back. This is a wonderful quiet area in Feb. Easy to get around in a car as the traffic is light.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
