The two bedrooms are located on either side of the living room for privacy. Each has a king size bed, armoire cabinet with TV, private glass sliders to the beach and private bathrooms. The one on the left also has a standard double sofa bed which can sleep two children comfortably.
Outside on the beach side of the house is a shaded patio and dining palapa. To the side is a wood-fired brick oven and charcoal barbecue grill for cookouts. The 'front yard' is essentially an expanse of sand, perfect for daytime tanning sessions or nighttime stargazing. Lounges, chairs and umbrellas make this a pleasant area for enjoying the view and seashore. The beach is groomed and cleaned in front of the house and a sandy area extends into the water for easy snorkeling sessions. It is an easy swim to the colorful reef and fly fishing can be done in the shallow waters. There is an outdoor shower for rinsing off and laundry drying area.
For a great panoramic view, day or night, the rooftop observation/sun deck is just one flight up and another flight up goes to the observation bar.
Just a few doors down from the house is beautiful Manatee cenote, a pristine mangrove waterway for bird watching and snorkeling in clear cool fresh water. Two restaurants are near the cenote, the Blue Sky hotel and the Casa Cenote restaurant. Tankah Bay is an hour and 20 minutes from the Cancun airport, and roughly 20 minutes south of Akumal, 10 minutes north of Tulum. Special complimentary guest services are available.
