Amenities:
Kitchen is recently renovated with granite countertops, new dishwasher, stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot and coffee grinder. Kitchen is open to family living area. There is a picnic table on the deck for eating outside, as well as a charcoal grill. Washer and dryer are on the lower level. The cottage is fully stocked with linens, towels and dishes. Renters supply paper goods (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.) There is a television with VCR and DVD players and library of movies. No cable or satellite. There are some beach toys as well as lounge chairs.
Cottage also comes with supplies if you have small children (ie. a pack-n-play, baby gate for stairs, and a feeding chair that clips onto dining table).
We have two children, so there are also various toys and games to play.
Activities:
This area boasts the best of swimming, beach walking, dune climbing (there is a substantial dune just across the street that offers spectacular views of the lake and woods), hiking in the woods, mountain biking or road bicycling, antiquing, golfing at any of the numerous well-acclaimed golf courses, shopping, or dining in any of the famous local restaurants. Besides swimming in the lake, kayaking is fun to do and there are places to rent kayaks in Harbor Springs or Petoskey. Halfway between Harbor Springs and Mackinaw City, it is easy to do day trips to Mackinac Island (the only place where no motor vehicles are allowed), Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point or the Soo Locks in the Upper Peninsula.

This cottage is conveniently located next door to Great Rentals listing number 2969 and makes a wonderful two house combination for multiple family gatherings or celebrations if planned for in advance.
