On the western shore of a private peninsula, this newly built one bedroom cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. Surrounded by conservation land, the area abounds with wildlife. The screened in porch makes a great place to watch the sun setting over the water. There is a hiking trail to explore along the shore and kayaks or a canoe available to rent to explore the waterways. Other properties also available. The cottage has the warmth of wood floors, wood beamed ceilings and comfortable furnishings to add to your relaxation. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedroom has a queen size bed and windows let in the evening sea breezes. The living room /dining area is all open with water views. The cottage is secluded yet just 10 minutes from bath, Maine which has every kind of store you could want from antiques to boutiques, supermarkets to Farmers Markets. Reid State Park, known for its sandy beaches and rock coast.

A great place to get away from it all.

If you are looking for a great place to get away from the stress of your daily life your looking at the right place. We have enjoyed visiting Back River Bend for 6 years now. It has all the beauty Maine has to offer in a very relaxing atmosphere. And there is an unlimited amount of things to do in the area should you grow tired of relaxing. Reid State park has two wonderful sand beaches just minutes away. Looking for lobster. Georgetown has the best Maine has to offer in my opinion. For greating shopping head to Freeport or Boothbay harbor. Both are a short 30 minute drive. There are also many other great towns close by that have all the Maine charm that you are looking for. Best of all Back River Bend has the most gracious hosts you will ever meet. They always make you feel welcome and go out of their way to make your stay the most that it could possibly be.
