All bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans. The loft overlooks the living room which has a desk for your convenience. The kitchen, with granite countertops is fully furnished with all needed cookware, electric wok, dishes, coffee pot, Toastmaster toaster and microwave. The raised bar with four chairs provides additional seating and is open to the dining and living rooms. The dining room has a large table that seats eight. The Living room, with a gas fireplace, is furnished with a full size sleeper/sofa, love seat, chair and ottoman is open to another deck overlooking the harbor. On the ground level there is an outdoor shower and a heated/air-conditioned full bath. Conveniently located near the Weber Grill, is a table and 8 chairs for outside enjoyment and dining. Our beautiful in ground community pool is located just down the street.
The boat ramp is close to the house and the boat slip and marina, which includes a self-pump out station as well as a fish cleaning station-with lights and running water, is only a few feet away. You can dig for clams, scallops or oysters in the adjacent waters (but, make sure they are 'in season'). You can even catch a crab or a fish off of our dock for dinner. Harkers Island has most of the services/stores you will need and about 20 minutes away by car is Historic Beaufort, Morehead City and Atlantic Beach. The property manager, who lives in the neighborhood, can respond quickly to your requests and can provide a vast array of local information.
The Harkers Island 'way of life' is simple, with friendly locals, the way it use to be. The local ferries are available to take you to the pristine beaches of Cape Lookout National Seashore. Charter offshore fishing and inshore fly fishing charters are also available. The local Grocery/Hardware Stores 'Billy's' & Eastard's and local seafood
