Boat trips to the Coto de Donana:
All over the year there are boat trips from Sanlucar be Barrameda to the National Park 'Coto de Donana' with the ferry boat called 'Real Fernando'. The interesting trip takes approximately 4 hours and you can get a first impression of the unique landscape and the indigenous wildlife of the 'Coto de Donana'. At two appropriate locations you can walk to the so called 'Salinas de los portugeses' or to the reconstructions of a typical old cottage of the Marisma. There is an audio-visual display about the National Park, too. Daily trips from June until September at 10:00 and 17:00. In March, April, October at 10:00 and 16:00.

Semana Santa and other events:
Semana Santa, the Holy Week, is one of the most important events in Andalusia at all. Major players of the processions are the so called 'Cofriadas' confraternities which exist for centuries. In the centre of attention are the so called 'Pasos' processions with brightly decorated statues of the Virgin Mary and Jesus .The most famous processions take place in Sevilla (100km away from Chiclana), Jerez and Cadiz. The Feria de la Manzanilla takes place in Sanlucar de Barrameda at the end of May. This famous aperitif called 'Manzanilla' which is a sort of dry sherry is produced in the bodegas of Sanlucar de Barrameda.
At the Feria de la Manzanilla there are marquees, moves with horses in traditional costumes, flamenco dancing etc. and you can enjoy the real andalusian atmosphere. In August during several days in the second and fourth week on the beach of Sanlucar the famous beach horse race 'Carreras de Caballo' takes place since 1845.
Golf:
The golf course Sanlucar Club de Campo (18 holes, 72par) is situated on the 'Lomas de Martin Miguel' with a fantastic view over the Atlantic ocean, Guadalquivir River and the Nationalpark' Coto de Donana'.
Water hazards, pine, olive and cork trees, bunkers and a sea breeze all add to the beauty and difficulty of the game. The golf course was designed by Borja Queipo de Llano. The first part is to be geared to the British links tradition and the second part to the American Design more less. At your disposal are shop, restaurant, clubhouse, golf academy and a private security service. Sanlucar Club de Campo offers a challenge for golfers of all levels.
