A beautiful year round home that we call the 'Hideaway'. Its on a private lane with 200 feet of frontage on some of Lake Hurons nicest beach. The 'Hideaway' is situated on a wooded site that allows you to enjoy Upper Michigan's wildlife and fauna as well as the water. The spacious floor plan allows for scenic views throughout the entire house.

Additional information about rental rates

  • $175 / $225 Night
  • Weekly rates are $1500 (cleaning fee included). Weeks run Saturday to Saturday.
    Per night rate is $200 (3 night minimum) A cleaning fee of $100.00 will be added to the daily rental total.
    A security deposit of $500.00 is required to reserve your requested time frame.
    (The security deposit is refundable with a 45 day advance notice of a cancellation. Less than a 45 day notice , the deposit is refundable only if the house is rented for the requested time frame.)
    A damage deposit of $500.00 is required.
  • June 1 through August 31, rentals on a weekly basis only.
    Sept through Dec. .Weekly rates are $1100.00 (includes cleaning fee). A savings of $400 on one of the nicest northern Michigan getaway spots.

The response and information we received initially and just prior to our stay from the owners was quick, pleasant, concise and helpful.
We so enjoyed our visit to the home along Lake Huron. The views were gorgeous! And the morning swans feeding in front of the home were a great treat as well. We got the best of both worlds--great sunrises directly in front of us and great sunsets just a short walk up the beach to the north. We saw many ships either headed to the Straits of Mackinac or back from it. We sometimes could hear the ships horns.
The home was comfortable, spacious and well supplied. The large great room was very nice and our three young granddaughters so enjoyed playing on the the sun porch. There was ample area for them to run and play right around the house.
We enjoyed the beach and also had a “campfire” in the fire ring outside complete with somores. Cut firewood is easily found at homes selling wood as we came out of Cheboygan and the price was nominal.
We would highly recommend the Hideaway to anyone.

Fall Getaway

Jack and Deb,
Can't tell you how much we enjoyed our fall getaway at the Hideaway. The house is beautiful and very spacious, there was nothing that we wished we had that wasn't available to us. But I think what we enjoyed the most was the seculsion that the house offered at that time of year. We walked the dogs on the beach for miles and never saw anything except the freighters drifting by.
It was a short drive into Mackinaw and we spent a lovely afternoon enoying the town without all the tourist. The fall colors were beautiful and the view out the front window of the house looking at the lake was just what we were looking for.
We are sincerely looking forward to our next trip.

Vacation at the

The "Hideaway" is a perfect vacation spot for just about everyone. The home is spacious and clean and had everything we needed. The area around the outside of the home is beautiful and spacious as well so we weren't cramped next to neighbors and had yard space for lawn games. The view of Lake Huron is incredible. We saw lots of ships passing by and had great campfires every night. The house is located close to the water and has one of the best sandy beach and swimming areas we've experienced along Lake Huron. We enjoyed all the bike trails in the area as well as the golf courses. Mackinaw City is close enough to enjoy a day of shopping or visiting the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are six adults that vacation each year together and this is the first spot we all agreed we would like to return to. Thank you Deb and Jack for your wonderful hospitality; your warm welcome and your follow-up with us to be sure we were comfortable.

2008 Lake Huron Vacation Experience

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the Hideaway. The beautiful view of Lake Huron and clean, sandy beach is one of the best in the area. The home is spacious and very comfortable. Jack and Deb are gracious hosts and we hope to make this our annual vacation spot. We love the close proximity to the straits and U.P.

A wonderful layout that was very comfortable and offered astounding views of Lake Huron. The beach was exceptional, especially for the East side. You literally feel like you could be anywhere in the world as your sitting on a white sand beach looking over crystal blue water. We'll definitely make this a regular stop for our family to enjoy!
