La Quinquerlet is located 3 miles from Apt (Vaucluse, Provence) on the foothills of a mountain in a wooded glade. The house was built by hand over a period of 30 years. In 1976 there was a completely derelict Provencal farmhouse on the site, the best walls of which still serve as the walls of Le Quinquerlet. Here you will find a 300 year old oak tree, swimming pool, fish pond, stairs, terraces, roof terrace, small fountain, sculptures and a wild garden with many roses, Le Quinqerlet is ideal for groups of up to 15 people or for a holiday with several families. You can enjoy total peace and quiet and immerse yourself in nature. You can heat the house with the wood burning stove and hear the owls at night.

The west apartment (45 square meters) offers a roomy main area with kitchenette, wooden insert heating and double bed (140 X 200cm). There is a small bedroom with a bed (120 x 200cm), a bathroom with bath and toilet. The entrance area has a breakfast table, harmonium and a narrow sleeping area (60 x200cm). In front of the house is a graveled area with table and chairs for four people. From the loungers you have a view of the 300 year old oak tree. In the background you can hear water flowing and filling a long water tank. The entrance area is furnished with a glass roof. The wood for the stove is stored here if you are visiting during a cold time of year. During the rest of the year you can store bikes here and other things which you would rather didn't get rained on.

Le Quinqerlet is quiet and in the shade during the summer, the nearest neighboring property (Vineyard) is approx. 300 meters away. The little town of Apt is 7 minutes away by car or 40 minutes walk. There you can find everything that you will require for daily life, 4 supermarkets, an organic supermarket and a retailer which is also open on Sunday morning. Aside from our private swimming pool there is another small swimming pond with green water, which is surrounded on three sides by rocks. In the surrounding area you can find many picturesque villages (Rousillon, Gordes) and Romanesque chapels and monasteries ( Senanque, Silvacane).
