This home offers a tranquility and beauty that is rarely experienced in Florida anymore. The neighborhood is not overbuilt, the homes that are nearby are million dollar homes. The home has a split floor plan with the master bedroom and master bath on one side of the house and the other three bedrooms and two baths on the other side of the house. The living area is the center of the home with adjoining den, kitchen and kitchen nook all open to beautiful views of the water and preserve. There is a formal separate dining room.

The center of the living room is a state of the art large flat screen LCD/HD TV with DVD and home theatre surround sound. Satellite service is provided. The home is supplied with high speed DSL wireless internet service, bring your laptop. The master bedroom has a Cal King sized bed and TV with DVD and satellite service. The master bath has a large soaking tub, a walk in shower, and double sink vanity. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and TV with DVD and satellite service. The remaining two bedrooms have full sized beds. Both bedrooms have TV with DVD, one has satellite service and the other has gaming capability. The lanai covered pool area runs along the canal side of the house and is equipped with dining table and chairs, lounge chairs and gas grill. The pool is electrically heated for year round comfort. The dock is a beautiful wrap-around with a fish cleaning station for all the fish you're going to catch. Poles are provided.

The boat lift is remote controlled and capable of handling a 7,000 lb. boat. A little taste of heaven

We stayed at this home for almost 3 weeks in September 2009 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The house is superbly located - and if you're looking for isolation and being away from the rest of the world - this is the place to come. We did not travel far- just enjoyed lazy days by the pool or fishing from the dock. A lovely place to relax and take stock. The house is very well equipped and we wanted for nothing. Highlight was getting up at 7am to watch on the big plasma screen Burnley FC beat Sunderland at soccer - priceless!
We really enjoyed spending time at the house - it matched our needs perfectly. The setting is stunning and we particularly appreciated the isolation and quiet surroundings. The pool was a great bonus given the weather was so hot most of our stay. We also saw lots of wild life - manatee, otters, eagles and ospreys. We even had a baby alligator stealing the shrimp off our fishing lines! The sunsets are out of this world - and we seemed to take a zillion photos. We are already thinking about booking again for our holiday next year.
The house is not far from local amenities - like Matlacha - you have to go to Berts! and also Burnt Store Marina - Sunday brunch buffet is well worth a try at Portobellos. We also have friends who we met up with in Punta Gorda - about 20 miles away - worth visiting the Ice House for darts and beer and the Crab Shack at Laishley Marina.

relaxing holiday villa, just the birds singing

Lovely home, clean and tidy. Owners were very friendly.
Yes would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing holiday. About 10 mins away from local supermarket and half an hour away from other activities such as beach at Fort Myers. Good selection of restaurants in the area to choose from.Don't go to Applebees. Ruby Tuesdays was everybody favourite restaurant. Good value for money. Liked Pine Island and Matlacha. Naples was wonderful and well worth a visit.
Had three teenagers who were very happy with property too.

I had the good fortune to stay 3 weeks in this designer showcase home and its the perfect tropical paradise that enables you to get away from it all and yet you're only a short ride from the undisturbed tropical beauty of little islands like Boca Grande, Sanibel, Captiva and Pine Island and then you get to come home to your own serene scenic theraputic tropical paradise where there's no neighbors or car traffic to disturb you. I highly recoment this home.

My husband and I have visited Cape-a-Chateau twice. It is exactly as described and pictured on the website. We stayed for a week last year and enjoyed it so much that we stayed for two weeks this year. I certainly hope we can go back next year for at least two weeks!

We really enjoyed walking in the neighborhood, swimming in the pool several times a day, and watching the gorgeous Gulf sunset every evening. It was nice to stay at the house and just unwind. You really have everything you need right there!
