Let the relaxation of 'Up North' begin for your family and friends on the 'Gold Coast' of Manistee Lake. Experience this sandy bottom 890 acre all sports lake that has many coves to explore. Enjoy the beautiful Fall colors from your deck overlooking the lake. The lake shore is ten feet away from the cottage. End the day roasting marshmallows over the lakeside fire pit, watching the incredible sunsets and star gazing from the shoreline. Our cottage offers a warm, rustic, relaxing atmosphere perfect for families. This 1,000 square foot cottage has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath that sleeps 6-8 guests. (One full, bunk bed with 2 twin beds, 1 double futon, and double hide-a-bed in living room.) The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and dishes for your convenience. Special care has been taken to furnish our cottage with the extras to make it a comfortable home away from home for you and your family.

  • Rent is subject to 6% State Sales Tax and $200 refundable damage deposit. All reservations cancelled are subject to a cancellation fee of $35.00. For reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival, no refund will be made unless the cottage can be re-rented. Owner will make every attempt to re-rent the cottage on your behalf. If cottage is re-rented, all monies will be refunded less the $35.00 cancellation fee.

Kalkaska ORV Trailhead just 10 minutes away - 90 miles of trail available and can accommodate mixed motorcycle and 4-wheel ATV traffic. Approximately 9 miles east on M-72. Restaurants and gas just west of the trailhead on M-72.

Great Peaceful Vacation Place

This was a very clean and well-maintained vacation home. The owners were very accommodating had one minor problem that they took care of very fast and was willing to do whatever it took to correct the problem. I would stay here again. Nice relaxing and close to the water. Nice swimming area. Very shallow could go out a long way before over your head which made it great for my grandson and I to play games in the water.
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the kind review! We try to treat our guests as we would our family. We just gutted the bathroom and are in the process of remodeling it. The next time you come, you will be pleasantly surprised. If you are interested in staying this summer, now is the time to reserve. Sweet cottage on the lake..Owner VERY accomodating

We had a "chick week". Had bonfires, s'mores and comfortable beds in a clean cabin. It is not fancy but to me, the cabin is reminicent of the one my grandparents had when I was a child. It was a very special place for us all. Although the weather was cool, I could see a family spending a funfilled vacation here. You could really relax and enjoy the lake. It is quiet and the sunsets were beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed. Full size fridge and stove. Deck had nice chairs, a barbeque grill. There is a fire pit and dvd player. We had a little problem with the heat when we first arrived. It was handled IMMEDIATELY upon calling the owner. We were toasty warm the rest of the time. He couldn't have been nicer. I highly recommend this place if you just want a nice, clean relaxing cabin vacation. The locals all recommended Breakfast and Burgers in Kalkaska as the best place for good food. We agree! Again, not fancy but really good.
