The exclusive old structure Spicchiaiolona, a farm which with its ancient stone-walls can tell you a secular history, lies in the heart of Tuscany on a hill immersed in one of the most beautiful landscapes of the area. Spicchiaiolona lies in a typical Tuscan landscape full of hills and cypresses, 12 km west from Volterra near the open road between San Gimignano, Colle di Val D’Elsa and Volterra. Spicchiaiolona has good room for a maximum of 16 persons. All around you will find cornfields, olive groves, woods and 2 caves close to the house. The property with its exclusive, complete and independent holiday houses “Acasa” and “Il Castelletto” was modified just this winter with attention and love for the style of the Tuscan landscape. A swimming pool (20 x 4 m) invites you to bathe. The view is simply fantastic.

San Gimignano and Volterra, cities which don’t need a description, are situated in one of the most beautiful and lovely places. Trips on the little roads give you the possibility to feel yourself back in another time. We can only fall in love with these places: a soft landscape, the sun, the cypresses, the olive trees, the wine, the excellent food, the spontaneity of people’s life, etc. Volterra, the “city of winds and stones” and San Gimignano will continuously surprise you: they are rich in culture, handcrafts and restaurants (trattoria). Etruscan walls, towers and graves, Volterra´s Roman theatre and the medieval architecture will spoil the art-lovers. Alabaster- and goldsmiths invite you for shopping; la “Zuppa Volterrana”, the Vernaccia of San Gimignano (wine) and wild pigs are cooked with the same care as for a lobster and you can try a good table wine instead of a Tignanello.
