Mountainwalking:
The possibilities for walking near the Gîte are from easy to very difficult. Just from the Gîte you can make short and light walks, but also long ones and very challenging. The village lies at the foot of the rocks of the 'Chaine des Fiz' with summit's over 2000 meter, there you find the challenging walks with big difference in heights. It is always possible in onde day to make a walk to a mountain hut and back to the Gîte.
paragliding:
Just 10 minutes from our house there is a wonderful paragliding site, called Plaine-Joux. You start between 1350 meters and 1600 meters and land in the valley at 500 meters. The view at Plaine-Joux is magnificent and the weather conditions are excellent for paragliding.
Via ferrata:
A via ferrata (Italian for iron road. The plural form is 'vie ferrate'. In German, a via ferrata is known as a 'klettersteig' or 'climbing step'.) is a mountain route which is equipped with fixed cables, stemples, ladders, and bridges. The use of these allows otherwise isolated routes to be joined to create longer routes which are accessible to people with a wide range of climbing abilities. Walkers and climbers can follow via ferratas without needing to use their own ropes and belays, and without the risks associated with unprotected scrambling and climbing.
Ski:
Around our house we have a about 7 ski-areas within 30 minutes. A possible 700 kilometers of ski slopes are available. The ski-areas are Chamonix, Les Houches, St-Gervais-les-bains, Combloux, Les Contamines Montjoie and even it is possible to go to Les Carroz d'Araches and Flaine.

Golf:
Within one hour drive from our house there are four 18-holes golfsites in Chamonix, Megève, Les Gets and Flaine. The region 'Rhone-Alpes' distribute a 'Club Green Card'. This card gives a 20% discount on the green fees of the golf of the in this region laying golf courses. Th golf course mentioned above accept this 'Club Green Card' also.
