The ceiling fans were filthy,ants in the kitchen including the dishwasher,pots and pans unexceptable,toilets seats broken,beds in 3 rd bedroom very very uncomfortable,no sweeper, grill rusted,coffee pot needs replaced,car broken into at night in the driveway.
Owner's Response: This person was the first one who experienced ants and when they told us that there were some ants on the counter, I asked them if I could send someone the next day and they told us no, just wait until we leave on Sat., it's not that bad. We sent the exterminator on Sat. as requested.
I was unaware that there was anything wrong with the coffee pot. I spoke to the family staying there the week before and she said it was working. There is a new coffee pot as of 7-30-08. The toilet seat lid has been tightened, it was not broken. I've never had anyone complain to me about the beds before.
I have a note on my check-in doc stating to call me if there is anything unsatsifactory. I am always happy to promptly fix anything that is brought to my attention and have always done so, and will send the maids back in to clean again if needed.
This is an extremely safe neighborhood and we've never had a single incident in 8 years. The area does have its own local police patrolling. I just spoke with the officer and he said there were several minor break-ins that week. He said every once in awhile some teens break into a few cars and some people don't lock their cars, but it doesn't happen that often. It's never happened to one of our properties before in the 8 years we've owned there. The person who stayed that week had no car damage and only some change stolen according to the police report. I have spent many vacations at this house over the years, and have never had a moment's trouble, nor have any of our other customers.
We hired a new cleaning team this season and have now found them to be unsatisfactory and are replacing them this weekend. The new lady is extremely thorough and will do an excellent cleaning job on Aug.2 and every weekend til end of summer. We painted the end of May, and we had the carpets cleaned 2 weeks ago. We have new pergo flooring through all the main part of the house. We do have repeat customers who came back this year and were happy with the house and enjoyed their stay. She even posted a comment on the site. This is her 2nd year so it must not be that bad or she wouldn't keep coming back.
The people who posted this complaint did not tell me anything about the coffee pot or pans or anything else other than the ants. I can only fix that to which I am informed. Everything should be in good order by this weekend. I am always willing to do anything I can to keep our customers happy.
