The chalet was built in 1996 by the current owners. It is located among a group of chalets very calm on the upper outskirts of the village of La Tzoumaz (a ski resort) amidst meadows and pastures, near a forest and with great outlooks to the valley of the rive Rhone and the surrounding mountain ridges of the Bernese and Valais Alps. The distance to Verbier is 5 to 6 km by car (road open only in summer / but permanent cable car connection). The house has 3 floors, 7 beds (3 double, 1 single) and central under-floor heating as well as additional radiators in bedrooms. There is a spacious living room with natural stone tiles, carpets, couches, fireplace, SAT-TV, rustic Italian furniture and dining table for 7 to 8 people. Two bathrooms have toilets, showers and bathtub. There is a utility room for central heating, ski depot, etc. Kitchen with oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, raclette and fondue sets, etc. A great balcony is around the house.

La Tzoumaz is a ski and chalet resort located in the Valais which is one of the southern Swiss cantons close to the Italian border. La Tzoumaz is part of the region ‘4 vallées’, connected with the regions of Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon and offering more than 400 km of ski runs of the blue, red, and black type. In summer it is and ideal place for hiking, mountaineering, fishing, golf, walking and all kinds of outdoor activities. La Tzoumaz is calm and family-friendly. The language, lifestyle and culture of the region is French, however English or German are often understood. Cities like Montreux, Lausanne, Martigny, Sion are close, providing various cultural possibilities. Two thermal baths in Saillon and Ovronnaz are located in the neighbourhood. Thanks to its height of 1600m above sea level, La Tzoumaz has agreeable temperatures, even when the Rhone valley or the area of the lake of Geneva is suffering from exceptional heat.

Notes to the rental rates

  • During the main season Christmas - Easter all prices are referring to a basic guest number of 4 persons or less. Groups / families with more than 4 persons will envisage a surcharge according to their number as follows: Up to 5 persons: Surcharge of 98.- Euros per week (14 Euros per day). Up to six persons: Surcharge of 196.- Euros per week (28 Euros per day). Up to 7 persons: Surcharge of 294.- Euros per week (42 Euros per day). This surcharge - regulation refers to the season between Christmas and Easter only.
  • During the summer season from Easter to Christmas the price for the chalet is 650.- Euros, not depending on the number of guests. (7 guests maximum) Discounts are granted for tenants which wish to stay 3 weeks or longer.
  • Children below 3 years are free of charge. Pets are allowed and not charged. Additional costs: Swiss guest tax SFr 2.- per person and day (16 years or older), SFr 1.- (below 16). Housekeeping and cleaning Euro 114.- A deposit bond of Euro 200.- is taken in advance, and rendered to tenant after his moving-out.

Chalet Midi is an absolute non-smoker-chalet. There are 2 doubles in separate bedrooms, 1 single in separate bedroom and 1 double on sleeping gallery on the 2nd floor (open). All bed linen and towels etc. must be brought along by tenants. Washing machine / tumble dryer available. Extra sleeps available, however not charged (maximum of 7 regular sleeps as described). All bathrooms tiled with natural stone.

A golf cours is located in Verbier, at a distance of 5 - 6 km from the village of La Tzoumaz. Verbier can be reached by cable car in 20 minutes or by car (during the summer season).
