Our Finca Los Marteles is located in the south-eastern part of Gran Canaria, far from mass tourism, and about 1,5 km from the little town of Santa Lucia. The finca is about 7000 sqm, of which about 3000 sqm are fenced. The buildings are situated on a gentle slope, which provides beautiful views of the surrounding areas. A nine meter long pool is available for the enjoyment of our guests.

The upstairs of the guest house is a studio apartment (2 persons49 Euro per night)of about 35 m², which has its own separate entrance and a double bed, a kitchenette with gas stove and all necessary kitchenware, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a roof-top terrace which is available to both the studio and the downstairs unit, an additional small room (see photo) which can accommodate one or two more persons for an additional 12 Euro per person per night. There is no smoking inside this unit. Maximum occupancy: 4 persons If you like to do the final cleaning yourself you don’t have to pay the cleaning fee. Otherwise you have to pay one day rental for the cleaner. For cold winter days there is a gas stove. You can by the bottled gas for 14,50 Euro at the finca

This village, which is situated at the edge of the Barranco de Tirajana, is part of the fruit growing region of Gran Canaria. The fruit is offered for sale along the country road. Very few areas on this island are as romantic as this barranco in its upper part around Santa Lucia. Santa Lucia is the ideal starting point for hikers and bicyclists. You will find many opportunities to shop in Santa Lucia, (1.5 km from the finca) as well as a post office, medical offices, pharmacy and several restaurants. If you'd prefer swimming, in 40 minutes you can reach the beach of Arinaga or you can be at the picturesque beaches of Gran Canaria in about 60 minutes.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The price is 49 Euro for two persons per night, each additional pays 12 Euro. Maximum occupancy with the small room extra : 4 persons. If you like to do the final cleaning yourself you don´t have to pay the cleaning fee. Otherwise you have to pay one day rental for the cleaner. For cold winterdays there is a gasstove. You can by the bottled gas for 14,50 Euro at the finca.
  • Prices Single occupants of the studio apartment receive a 10% price reduction. Customers booking a stay of more than three weeks in any unit receive a 10% reduction.
    Bookings for less than one week are charged an additional 3 Euro per day. All prices include linens and towels.
    Children up to 12 months stay for free. We do not charge any cleaning fees, but expect the units to be left in reasonably clean condition. Otherwise we ask the price of 49Euro for the cleaningwomen.At the time a reservation is made, a deposit of 30% of the total amount is required. Please transfer this amount into our account. The remainder is to be paid in cash upon arrival.

Environment: From our Finca it is only a few kilometres to mount Roque Nublo (elevation 1813 m), the landmark of Gran Canaria.

Wellness: If you desire, you can book a wellness program, which includes a fasting/hiking program, exercises and treatments by a licensed physical therapist. We try to live ecologically aware here. On our finca we raise only organic vegetables. Dogs, cats and birds are also at home with us. Our guests are invited to bring their small, well behaved dogs with them.

„Zum ersten Mal auf Gran Canaria und zum ersten Mal zu Dritt im Urlaub hatten wir das große Glück, wohl auf dem schönsten Fleckchen auf der ganzen Insel zu landen. Fernab vom Massentourismus mit zugebauten Stränden im Süden haben wir die 14 Tage in unserem kleinen Palmental sehr genossen. Da es eine ideale Ausgangslage für Ausflüge war, konnten wir von dort aus die ganze Insel erkunden. Vielen herzlichen Dank an Kasi und Gesine - die wohl nettesten Vermieter, die man erwischen kann. Wir haben einige gute Anregungen mit nach Hause genommen. Ein super Plätzchen zum Ausspannen. Gerne wieder!“ Petra, Ralph und Lovis

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Urlaub in einer Wahnsinns-Umgebung auf einem herrlichen Fleckchen Erde! Was Gesine und Kasi hier geschaffen haben, ist beeindruckend. Die Aussicht von der Dachterasse lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig, der Pool ist Gold wert, und die Herzlichkeit der beiden war überwältigend. Auch die Gespräche waren sehr tiefgehend, und das gemeinsame Singen und Gitarre Spielen hat großen Spaß gemacht.

Schon am ersten Tag ist richtiger Urlaub möglich

Vielen Dank an Gesine und Kasi und alle Lebewesen, und da gibt es einige, die daran beteiligt sind, das wir uns schon am ersten Tag wie zu Hause fühlen konnten. Ein idealer Ort um abzuschalten, umgeben von einem wunderschönen Garten und der Ruhe in den Bergen. Endlich hatten wir mal wieder Zeit und Platz auf der wunderschönen Terasse mit Blick durch das Tal bis zum hösten Punkt der Insel uns unseren Taiji -und Meditations Bewegungen hinzugeben. Nur beobachtet von der Tierwelt. Schön, das wir viele Anregungen über vegetarisches Essen und Rohkost von Gesine und Kasi bekamen. Auch in dieser Hinsicht war es für uns, und wir hoffen auch für die beiden, ein fruchtender Austausch. Und beim nächsten Mal gibt es Taiji im Austausch für Kochrezepte und leckere selbstgemachte Süßspeisen ihne Zucker. Unbeschreiblich und sehr einfallsreich. Danke Gesine und Kasi für die vielen neuen Anregungen und die über alle Maßen herzliche Gastfreundschaft.
