Quiet and beautiful water in front of a comfortable vacation home
Our 135-sq.-meter, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath home is directly on the sea in Tri Zala (Three Bays), less than three kilometres west of Korcula’s old town. There are about two dozen houses spread across about two kilometres in this area, half of which are on the sea. From a quiet road, you pass terraced gardens stepping downward towards the home. You enter on the main floor into the kitchen (including dishwasher), and toward the sea are a living room and bedroom; a bathroom is to the side. Outside the bedroom and living room is a 35-square meter terrace with a 180-degree sweeping view of the ocean. Upstairs are another two bedrooms (one has two single beds; the other a double bed) with parquet wood floor and a second full bathroom. Below the main house is another large enclosed living room area with a small kitchen and small toilet and another terrace in front. Your own private stairs from this level lead to another level of land and then to the Adriatic.

The water in front of the house is the Peljesac Channel looking across to the Sveti Ilija Mountain on the Peljesac Peninsula connected to the Croatian mainland. The area is great for windsurfing and other sports including boating. A tiny uninhabited island, Mulic, is about a vigorous 10-minute swim away, providing a punctuation mark for the eye on the sweeping blue of the sea. Those skilled in the art of island-hopping will be hard-pressed to find a more charming and romantic island than Korcula. Located roughly between Split and Dubrovnik in the Adriatic, Korcula offers visitors beautiful unspoiled beaches, a densely covered countryside of fig groves and vineyards, and the medieval walled city of Korcula, built in the ornate Venetian architectural style.

| Notes: | Traditional stone, flowers and plants decorate the property and extras include a large outdoor grill, a washing machine and many corners for relaxation. The house is also rare because it is rented in its entirety and no one else will be there during your stay. Although a few islanders rent houses directly on the water, almost all subdivide the space inside into two or three apartments, cutting down on privacy and quiet. Upon request we will e-mail a two-minute video walk through of the property. |
Getting there
Several times a week boats depart from Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Split and Hvar for Korcula. Buses also leave from the main bus station in Dubrovnik. If you are travelling by car, you can take a car ferry from Split every day to Vela Luka on the west end of the island, or from July to early September you can take a ferry from Orebic south of Split directly to the old town of Korcula. Other options include coming by ferry from Drevnik on the mainland (about two hours south of Split) to the old town in Korcula or from Ploce to Trapanj on the Peljesac Peninsula and then from Trapanj you can drive across the thin Peljesac Peninsula to Orebic and catch the ferry to Korcula (a 15 minute ride). If you are driving up from Dubrovnik and the south you can drive directly to Orebic on the Peljesac Peninsula.
