Photos and Description of this Laroque des Alberes holiday house

The house is on a 700 m² hillside property on a very quiet cul-de-sac. It is 85 m², has enough space for 5 people and has central heating. The house has: 1 living room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, separate WC and balcony. The spacious living/dining room has a large dining table, a cosy sectional, living room wall unit, TV (German and French), stereo system, fireplace etc. Large French doors offer a view and access to the 10 m long balcony with beautiful view of the Albères and the Mediterranean. The kitchen is very well-equipped and is according to German standards (dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator/freezer, 4 hob gas cooker with oven, microwave, coffee maker, water cooker etc.). There is a double bed with a very good German mattress and a closet in each bedroom. The bathroom has an especially large built-in shower and a modern mirror/sink combination.

Laroque-des-Albères is located at the foot of the Pyrenees at about 250 m above the Roussillon plain. Our house panorama is above Laroque in the district of Domaine des Albères (about 2 km from the city centre). The idyllic, typical southern French village has a picturesque city centre with two bakeries, a small grocery store, two restaurants, pub and wine tavern. There is also a local chemist and German doctor. Laroque's landmark is an old castle tower. From here, you can see the ocean and the west to the Pyrenees. Argelès sur Mer is about 12 km away and is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean. It was rated by the ADAC for excellent water quality, cleanliness and exemplary beach supervision. The long beach promenade is also beautiful. You must visit the neighbouring artist village Collioure. The fascinating capital Perpignan (most sunny days in France) is about 25 km north of Laroque.
