Here, the visitor can spend a pleasant holiday far from the hustle and bustle of modern life amidst a gently undulating countryside covered with woods and vineyards. Children find plenty of room to play in the grounds around the house with its purpose-built swimming-pool. The friendly family Bibbiani is always at hand when required. The estate’s produce - an excellent pure wine, fresh from the cellars, 'Extra Vergine' olive-oil and fresh fruit - may be purchased on the premises. Special service: fresh bread for breakfast!

This enchanting little town lies in the heart of Tuscany, snuggled in the middle of its three cultural capitals: Florence, Siena and Pisa. Just 12km from Castelfiorentino, it lies on the western edge of the Chianti area, on a hill with extensive views over vineyards, olive groves and the magnificent wooded countryside. In and around Montaione the visitor becomes acquainted with the simple lifestyle of the Italian countryside and can at the same time enjoy a wealth of culture and art in trips to the surrounding cities. In Montaione itself you should definitely take time to see the painting of the “Madonna with Child” in the 13th century church of San Regalo on the Piazza della Repubblica. Montaiones fantastic gastronomy with its delicious native dishes invite one to try ones own hand – the ingredients are available in the shops fronting onto the Piazza of Montaione.

Wir hatten Glück! Trotz später Buchung bekamen wir doch noch ein Feriendomizil. Wir vermissten in den beiden Wochen überhaupt nichts. Die Unterkunft war einfach perfekt, Ausstattung top, alles vorhanden. Noch nie sind wir auf eine so gut eingerichtete Ferienwohnung gestoßen. Die Vermieter Claudia und Mauro waren stets hilfsbereit und super nett. Die vielen Pizzen, wegen des vorhandenen Pizzaofens, haben uns doch ein paar Kilo geschenkt. Der tägliche Brötchenservice hat reibungslos funktioniert. Danke!!! Für die Kinder war es ideal, da die Anlage nicht zu groß, aber auch nicht zu klein ist. Die Online-Angaben waren präzise. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ideal. Besonders der große Coop. Montaione selbst verfügt über eine tolle Aussichtsplattform mit einer leckeren Eisdiele/Bar in der Nähe. Von der Anlage kann man durchaus zu Fuß dorthin gehen.
Im Sommer werden wir wohl nicht mehr kommen, da es viel zu heiß war. Der beste Reisezeitraum ist wahrscheinlich das Frühjahr oder der Herbst. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen. Florenz, Pisa, Siena, Vinci und San Gimignano sind gut zu erreichen. Allerdings muss man etwas Zeit einplanen, da teilweise viel Verkehr war.
