The speciality of Villa Ilona, the feel-well-house in Crete, is the colourful interior design and the usage of high quality natural materials. The spacious exterior area with pool (8x3m, from 2010), three terraces and the Mediterranean garden invite you to sunbathe. At night you can admire the fascinating Cretan heaven with thousands of stars. Because the owners use the house often for their own vacations, it is completely furnished and very comfortable. You will not miss a TV because of the sky with stars, the landscape and the people of Crete are much more fascinating than American TV series. The villa consists of two units. It is ideal for people who like to spend their holiday with others without having to share bathroom, kitchen and terrace all the time, e.g. friends, families with the grandparents etc. Villa Ilona is located at the edge of the small village of Kamilari. There are good grocery shopping facilities, several taverns – but no binge drinking!

You enter the studio by going upstairs outside and crossing the big (24 square metres) studio-terrace. Here you find a bedroom with two beds and large built-in wardrobes a comfortable armchair, a completely equipped mini-kitchen with a 2-ring stove, a refrigerator, a sink, a toaster and table with chairs. The bathroom includes a comfortable shower, a radiator and toilet. Terrace with stone-benches, chairs, sun loungers.The terrace is partly roofed and provides shade through a pergola. Possibility to use the washing machine. The spacious pool (8x3m) will be used together with the guests of the apartment (available from 05/2010). DSL/wireless maybe available from 2010, please ask us. Internet café in the village (5 minutes).

The old 300-people-village of Kamilari is located on a small hill in the rural region of the Messara-plains. The road that leads from the famous place of Phaistos to the village of Matala is about one mile away. The people get their income from agriculture and from tourism. Foreigners are very welcomed. In Kamilari there are no big hotels or all-inclusives. There are a few private guest houses and apartments. Most of the visitors are spending their holidays in Kamilari for years. Having arrived in the 21st century the village has kept its charm and privacy. Nearly all people of Kamilari and their guests speak English. There are some mini-markets for the every day use and some taverns, where you can also try special Cretan food. It is still cheap in the south of Crete.

Einfach nur zum Wohlfühlen

Gerade zurück aus dem kleinen Paradies, kann ich nur sagen "Einfach zum Wohlfühlen".

Ein wundervolles Haus, das wirklich mit Liebe eingerichtet ist, wo man jeden Tag wieder ein kleines pfiffiges Detail mehr wahrnimmt. Eine Terasse die geschaffen ist für die "Seele baumeln lassen".

Ein Ort, an dem man immer ein Lächeln geschenkt bekommt und in dem man lecker und gemütlich Essen gehen kann. Wo Tourismus wirklich noch nicht sehr zu spüren ist.

Eine Landschaft, die sehr reizvoll und jeden Tag mit neuen Überraschungen aufwartet, seien es Schluchten, schöne Buchten, ein Meer an Olivenbäumen etc.

Es gäbe noch viel mehr zu erzählen, aber erleben ist mit Sicherheit viel schöner.

Wir können nur sagen, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
