Dresden's surroundings:
Dresden and a certain area of the Elbe valley are a World Heritage Site since 2004. The Colosseum building ensemble is situated in the midst of this site. One needs about 15 minutes by car to get to Pillnitz and 15 minutes to reach the historical centre of Dresden. Daytrips to Saxon Switzerland, the Erzgebirge and Prag are possible. Walking and bicycling paths to the Schönfeld Highlands or along the river Elbe are accessible on foot. Our vacation homes are ideal starting points to trips into the Schönfeld Highlands or the wine region around Meißen. Of special interest are visits to the Frauenkirche and the newly opened Green Vault (Grünes Gewölbe) in Dresden. Miscellaneous bars and restaurants can be found in the lively Dresdener Neustadt. Sophisticated cultural exhibitions and collections as well as a visit to Semperoper or Staatsoperette promise interesting experiences.
Leisure time activities:
You can reach diverse walking and jogging paths that lead through beautiful landscape directly from our vacation homes. In Pirna one can find an up-to-date indoor pool that can be visited during the winter season too. The bicycle path along the river Elbe is only 5 minutes away. The park 'Großer Garten' inside the city offers a 2,5 kilometre path for roller skaters and a narrow-gauge railway that takes you around the park in about half an hour. Especially children enjoy the ride in the open wagons. Of special interest for families are also the Hygiene Museum and the Dresden Zoo nearby as well as the Karl May museum in Radebeul. During the cold season we propose cross-country skiing in the Erzgebirge or ice-skating in the Eissporthalle in Dresden. A gym close-by makes regular daily work-outs possible. One can reach interesting sights directly by bicycle. To this purpose the Elberadweg is perfectly constructed. One can also travel by boat up- and downstream the river.

Ski:
Various possibilities for winter sports – cross country skiing as well as downhill – can be undertaken in the Erzgebirge. You need about an hour by car to get there.
Golf:
There are two golf links within the area. The nearest one is Ullersdorf. It can be reached by car in about 15 minutes.
