Child-friendly vacations:
We welcome families with children. The environment is ideal for adventures, which are announced in the city. Please register that there is a pond in the back of the plot of land. That needs some attention. But the pond is placed apart from the house and the playing area is completely separated from it, although easy understandable. Of course, there exists a baby bed and a child's high chair for the youngest ones of our guests. Most useful for children's kitchen: there is a microwave oven, for heating children's food very easily.
Gastronomy:
We often have been asked for good gastronomy especially for inns to stop over. The Vogtland is a traditional holiday region, which offers a couple of good and reasonable food. The span of proffers meals reaches from traditional Bohemian food to excellent exquisite restaurants. Don't miss to visit Czech republic for reason to eat. Realise, that Rohrbach is a very little village outside from everything but nature. If you need something or like to eat in a restaurant, you have to drive by car.
Ski:
The winter at Vogtland is a very special experience. As this text was written in February 2005 there were 50 cm of finest snow all around. Snow and sunshine is a perfect combination for holidays in winter. Around the tourist centres there are a lot of milled cross-county skiing trail for cross-county skiing and hiking. The most famous one called 'Kammloipe' is almost 5 km remote from our house. But if you like naturally take your cross-county ski and start right from the front door of the house. Skiing centres as Schöneck, Mühlleiten and Fichtelberg can reached daily in less than an hour.
