Adagio metamorphoses: a 200-year old, deserted house, brought back to life by loving restoration comprising pain-staking attention to detail: in order to maintain the original materials, the hand-made, weather-beaten roof tiles were individually restored with a metal brush. Today, the house’s doorways and window ledges owe their individual character to these pianelle. The roof is tiled in the local style – the so-called monk/nun style – monk on top, nun underneath, as the Italians say! The roof is insulated and covered with 2 layers of tiles – underneath with new, machine-made tiles, and on top with original, hand-made coppi.

The Adagio is located in the midst of rolling hills, vineyards and olive trees at the end of a private drive well away from traffic and beside a small lake. It is surrounded on all sides by breath-taking views of the cheery scenery of the Marche. Despite its secluded location, the house is just 20 minutes drive away from the spectacular beaches of Senigallia, five minutes from the enchanting medieval town of Corinaldo, and 30 minutes from the raw mountains of the Appenines. The Marche is renowned for the rich variety of affordable restaurants and cultural attractions.

Wir haben im August 2007 2 Wochen im roten Appartement verbracht und haben für dieses Jahr direkt wieder gebucht. Das Haus liegt in einer wunderbaren Landschaft,die Beschreibungen auf der Homepage sind nicht übertrieben. Alles ist liebevoll gepflegt, sauber und die Gästebetreuung ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und bietet beste Erholung und in 20 Autominuten sind verschiedene Strände gut zu erreichen. Auch Corinaldo, der nächstgelegene Ort, ist ein Kleinod. Das Haus ist ein zentraler Ausgangspunkt für Besichtigungstouren, z.B zum Weltkulturerbe Urbino, zur größten Tropfsteinhöhle Europas oder zu der Perle der Adria Sirolo. Wir würden das Haus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Ein Fahrzeug ist allerdings erforderlich.

Auf einem wunderschönen Gelände, weit genug entfernt von Trubel und Massentourismus haben wir als echtes Kleinod das ADAGIO entdeckt. Ideal geeignet zum Abschalten, Entspannen und Erholen abseits jeder Hektik, ich habe dort von der 1. Minute an die Seele baumeln lassen und das italienische Leben genießen können. Das Appartment in ROT ist immer auf der Sonnenseite des Hauses und besonders im Frühling unser Favorit. Liebevoll und kreativ eingerichtet, sehr sauber und gepflegt, sowohl drinnen als auch draußen fühlen wir uns rundum wohl. Wir werden dort immer wieder buchen und uns die bis vor wenigen Jahren unbekannten Marken anschauen.
