The Casa Alvise is situated on the lower edge of Pantasina, at the edge of olive groves and vineyards with a heavenly view extending over the gentle countryside of Liguria up to the sea, where the horizon shows the silhouette of Korsika especially on clear days. The house with its imposing arched cellars was lavishly restored in the past few years and shines in new splendour since the beginning of 2005. Special attention was directed to the preservation of the Lingurian architecture with its natural stone walls and old wooden beams, with which modern comfort merges harmoniously. Today, it is a romantic refuge in a stylish ambience with upscale facilities on several levels. In Casa Alvise, the larger upper apartment, there are 3 bedrooms with sleeping place for up to 6 persons. In Alvise vecchio, the smaller lower apartment, 2-4 persons can comfortably spend their holiday. Or you come with friends or the whole family and enjoy your time with us with up to 10 persons?

The lower, smaller apartment (Alvise vecchio) in the historical arches of the Cantina, has a very romantic charm. Approx. 55 sq. m in size, it is spread over 4 levels and is suited for 4 persons. You can access the first level of the apartment through the old gray door. The dining room is located here and is separated from the small kitchen through a natural stone arch. Two levels below is the living room with the two ceiling high windows which light up the room. From the living room, you can enter the small terrace, which is sheltered from the wind, through a glass door. A level below, characterized by the impressive natural stone walls, is a room with a comfortable sofa bed and a small toilet. Further four flights up you reach the romantic bedroom, a room with crossed arches and natural stone, where a solid rock on which the house was built comes to light. One reaches the spacious bath with WC, bidet, washing machine and shower from here.

Pantasina is at a distance of 14 km from the sea, presiding in the hinterland of Imperia on the higher slopes of Valprino. You find both culinary highlights in the best restaurants of the area as well as historical art treasures and buildings like the famous Malthäser bridge right in the Lingurian hinterland at a distance of only 5 km from Dolcedo. Pantasina lies embedded in nature, in the wide-spread, silver shimmering olive terraces with unending stratum walls, a precious legacy of the ancestors. The terraces were and are cared for and are re-repaired, the olives from here, especially the 'taggiasca' variety, deliver one of the most popular oils, which is light and delicate.

From our point of view, the following places can be particularly recommended: „Golf Club Garlenda“ between Alassio and Albenga, „Circolo Golf degli Ulivi” in San Remo and the following golf courses in France: Saint Donat“ between Cannes and Grasse, „Golf de la Grande Bastide“ in the vicinity of Grasse, „Golf d´Opio Valbonne“ between Grasse and Opio and „Monte-Carlo Golf Club” situated high above Monte Carlo.

Romantik in den Bergen Liguriens

Das der Urlaub in Ligurien erholsam sein würde, davon bin ich im Vorfeld ausgegangen. Doch dann wurden meine Erwartungen mehr als übertroffen. Eine schöne, saubere, gepflegte und gemütliche Unterkunft, wie im Online Inserat beschieben. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir mit offenen Armen von den deutschsprachigen Veranstaltern vor Ort empfangen und erhielten nicht nur den Schlüssel für die schnuckelige Ferienwohnung in die Hand gedrückt, sondern wurden mit einer tollen persönlichen Einweisung über die Region überrascht. Besonders gut hat uns die Vielzahl an Möglichkeiten gefallen: Wandern, Baden, Städtetour(en), kulinarische Highlights der regionalen Küche - für jeden ist etwas geboten und mir hat die Mischung besonders gut gefallen. Man sollte dafür allerdings schon mobil sein. Auch die Lage der Ferienwohnung hat nahe der Olivenhaine den typischen Charakter Liguriens schon beim Aufstehen morgens spürbar werden lassen. Und es gibt kaum etwas romatischeres als am Abend bei einem guten Glas (ligurischen) Rotwein die Sonne im Meer versinken zu sehen...
