We have observed a high standard of organic furnishings within the house. The interior was completely renovated in 2002. The dining place area has a table for up to six persons, cutlery, crockery and glasses for six. The small kitchen is completely furnished with dish-washer, microwave, coffee-maker, pots and pans, knives and forks. In the living room there is a large bed-couch (160 cm, sleeps two), armchair and satellite-TV. The bedroom is equipped with two large lockers and a double bed of 180 cm. There’s another small room with emergency bed couch for very young lovers of 140 cm. The bathroom is with bathtub, shower, sink and WC. The exterior of the house shows patina and charm of over 60 years. Berlin is a bustling city which offers culture, sports and history. In Schoenwalde you’ll find sand, pine trees, beeches, gardens, moor, and an endless sky - perfect light for artists. It’s a change from a standard holiday.

Schönwalde im Glien (Glien stands for clay) lies in the forests and marshlands west of Berlin in Brandenburg (and has not changed much since the 'Kaisers' times). The development dates back from the 1930's. It is built on sand dunes and distinguished by beeches, birches and pine trees. If you feel like 'going to town', a mere 20 minutes' drive through the 'Spandau Forest' will take you to the city. In the settlement you will find everything that is necessary to survive: bakery, supermarket, post-office, physician, pharmacy and four pubs/restaurants. The place is ideal for hiking or cycling in a rather flat country one day and exploring the city on the next. Or you can play golf on one of more than 14 courses around Berlin.

Eat and drink: There is international cuisine available from all over the world, but you can also find some of the best examples of the traditional German cuisine, i. e.: 'Deutsches Haus' in Dallgow or the 'Gasthof Pausin' in Pausin - known for cleanliness, good food and friendly service. Lately we dicovered the “Knoedelstube” (dumpling room) in Falkensee where Bohemian and Silesian dishes of the highest quality are being served at reasonable prices. Enjoy your meal!

Dead places: If you have an interest for 'dead places' we recommend an unofficial visit to what is left of the airbase Schoenwalde.

Golf: The enchanting 'Markish' countryside makes - with its superb plains, woods, water, sand-dunes and heath - a wonderful golf-land. Most of the courses were built after 1990 and meet all modern standards. However there are two exemptions: Berlin-Wannsee is the eldest German Golf Club (founded in 1895) and a wonderful parkland course. It's a must to have played here whilst in the area, even if there are technically more demanding courses available around Berlin. Berlin-Gatow was the UK-Airbase in Berlin until the 90th of the last century. And, of course, there was a golf course. It has now 18 superb holes. The course and the club house is a peace dividend for all golfers with a sense of history.

- die Angaben im Online-Inserat bezüglich Lage,
Ausstattung etc. waren korrekt.
- der allgemeine Zustand des Feriendomizils war sauber
und gepflegt. Die Austattung ist sehr geschmackvoll.
- Wir wurden vom Vermieter besten vorbereitet.
- Ja, wir würden das Häusschen weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben einen sehr abwechslungsreichen Urlaub verlebt und uns in Haus und Siedlung vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Alles was man braucht ist da. Erholung pur.

Das Zeitungsinserat Cottage Berlin war der Blickfaenger und sollte sich kurze Zeit nach unkomplizierter Buchung bestaetigen.

Wir kamen aus verschiedenen Richtungen per Flugzeug, Bus und Bahn und PKW ohne Umwege in Schoenwalde an und wurden gleich vom freundlichen Vermieter erwartet, der uns durch das herzlich picobello vorbereitete Haus tourte und zu zahlreichen Fragen (bester Brötchenbaecker) geduldig Antwort wusste.

Jeder fand seinen persoenlichen Lieblingsplatz von der roten Kuschelcouch, Fernseh-oder Lesesessel mit Fusshocker (haben wir mit dem Zollstock ausgemessen, der lag in der Schublade, wir wollen auch einen solchen Stuhl fuer daheim) bis zur Gartenliege.
Wie zuhause.

Sogar Weihnachtsplätzchen kann man backen! Die Kueche ist auf alles eingerichtet.Wir nutzten täglich den Grill und Blechkuchen gab´s dann doch noch inkl.Kostprobe fuer das Vermieterehepaar.

Von den zahlreichen Vorschlägen zu Ausfluegen, Geschaefte, Restaurants (beste Steinpilzsuppe gibts in Pausen, ehrlich), Biobäcker in Falkensee und Transportinfos haben wir uns gerne inspirieren lassen.

Der beste Geheimtip fuer Menschen die man mag und die nicht in einer Hotelnummer enden wollen.

Wir waren mehrfach in diesem Ferienhaus und haben unseren Urlaub genossen! Das Haus ist sauber, gepflegt, in gutem Zustand und bestens ausgestattet. Der Vermieter ist sehr bemüht, die Voraussetzungen für einen optimalen Urlaub zu schaffen. Und in der Nachbarschaft gibt es einen Hausverwalter, der jederzeit ansprechbar ist und gern weiterhilft. Wir haben es besonders genossen, dass das Haus vor den Toren Berlins liegt. So kann man sowohl ungestört einen ruhigen Urlaub verbringen als auch am Berliner Großstadtleben teilhaben. Zu letzterem sollte man allerdings motorisiert sein, um bis zur U-Bahn-Haltestelle Spandau zu gelangen.

sehr gemütliches, komfortables Haus in ruhiger lage mit schönem garten und terrasse, naturnahe lage, zum fahrradfahren, spazieren,
ausflüge in ländl. umgebung und berlin zentrum, havelland usw.
