Antiparos, a typical, small Cyclades island of 35 m², has 1000 inhabitants that live in the main town in the northeast. Here you can find supermarkets, taverns, cafeterias, discos, bars and an open air cinema. Within the town the alleys are closed for traffic during the summer months for enabling even small children to play safely. The beaches are 57 km long on the whole and are mostly close to the town and easily available by foot. 800 m north of the town there is a well organised nude beach. If you go by bus, car or moped, you can reach two several settlements in the sout, Soros and Ag. Georgios. From here the uninhabited island of Despotiko is available within 5 minutes by boat. Two years ago important archaeological findings were discovered here. Since that time excavations have taken place here. Furthermore there is a stalactite cave worthwhile seeing about 8 km from the town.
