The finca is located on a 3,5 hectare sized property. The finca is built in Andalusian style and suitable for a maximum of seven persons. A 150 meters long private road, surrounded by eucalyptus trees and cypresses, is leading to the entry. There is a 40 square meters sized pool, a washing machine, dishwasher, bed linen, towels, a complete equipment; there are no extra fees. You can do walks in the Nature Park Sierra de Almijarra/de Tejeda or play golf at the coast (Baviera Golf). This is the ideal place for individual holidays for enthusiasts and discerning people. You can relax and recreate and you are the only guests. The married couple and administrators Dona Lucrecia and Don Silvestre are your personal hosts. The finca Marico unites Mediterranean outdoor living with middle-class comfortableness. The buildings are located at the south slope where there are terraces, gardens and pergolas with wine leaves.

Since many centuries, the land, where the finca with its old trees is located, is called Fuente de Hierro, the “iron fountain”. Even the Moorish had a rest here on their way from the coast over the Sierra to Grenada and collected their water here. During your stay on the Finca Fuente de Hierro you dispose of about 150 square meters living area with an automatic heater mat. Depending on the position of the sun, you can choose between the east, south or west terrace. The top first floor is not yet completed and is not accessible. You can enter the house either by the big parking place, by the dining room or by the living room/south terrace. The kitchen, the doors and the cupboards have been constructed by a carpenter from Vélez-Málaga for the Fuente de Hierro. The inside of the finca is dominated by nature and terra colours. The walls are fettled in a rustic style which had all the fincas in the inside in former times. You are the only guests.

The finca is located in the position longitude 04°00`34`` west and latitude 36°51`24`` north, 750 m above the sea level. It is situated nearby some big places of cultural interests at the Costa del Sol, to the east of Málaga, south of the Maroma (2065 m), 400 m away from the National Park Sierra de Almijara/de Tejeda, between the moorish wine-villages Archez-Salarez-Canilla de Albaida-Cómpeta. Enjoy the view to the Mediterranean Sea (linear distance 10 km, mountain road 23 km to the coast). The finca is 78 km away from the airport Málaga where your hired car is waiting for you. Ordinary shopping possibilities and restaurants you can find in Canillas de Albaida/Cómpeta. You can find more and a wider range of shopping possibilities and restaurants in the tourist towns of the Costa del Sol in Torre del Mar/Vélez Málaga. There you can also find some golf courses. The sun, less strong due to the wind from the mountain and from the sea, creates an nice dry climate. Enjoy the tranquility.

Additional information about rental rates

  • To the basic charge of 85 € and accordingly 65 € per day, we add 6 € per person and per day. Like that you just pay for the actual amount of persons. Additional bookings are possible. If you are staying longer then 7 days, the arrival and the departure day we count as one day. As of the third week you get a reduced charge per week: 415 € and accordingly 555 € as basic charge plus 42 € per person and per week. Regular guests get an additional discount of 5 %. In the price included is: electricity, water, gas, bed-linen, towels (which are changed weekly); the flat is cleaned once a week; (pets are not allowed); final cleaning. We recommend (within one week after the booking) to take out a travel cancellation insurance with the travel agency or automobile clubs, etc. Dona Lucrecia and Don Silvestre are your personal hosts, the married administrative couple, who are happy to inform and help you.
  • Your booking: Please contact us and we send you directly our brochure. If you have decided for the finca, please transfer a first payment of 300 € to our bank account and send us the completed and signed return coupon. As soon as we receive it, we will send you our confirmation and the detailed and illustrated information package with additional hints and advices for your visit. If you like we can send this package to you as well before your booking. The resting amount of the charge is to be paid 6 weeks before the departure date.
  • Breach of contract: 1) The achieved payments will be retained. 2) The second payment which is to be done 6 weeks before the arrival date has still to be paid as well as administrative charges of 50 €. 3) If a next tenant can be found (by you or by us by your order) you will get the rental rate minus our expenses due to the new renting. The common business conditions of the renting law are applied.

Notes: A hi-fi system (radio, CD) is in the living room. In the big bedroom a Sat-TV is provided. Light reading to relax you can find in the chimney corner. If you like to play music, then you can use the clavinova. Each of the two big bedrooms has got a bathroom and the windows look to the east: you can start the day with the sun and during the summer the bedrooms stay cool. Both of the bedrooms have got a built-in cupboard with a clothes rail and drawers. On the top shelf you can put your suitcases and other big objects. The house possesses an automatic floor heating system which keeps an agreeable temperature of 22 degrees (the bedrooms are cooler and the bathrooms are warmer). The heating is solar-powered. On cloudy days we use an extra heating system. If outside the temperature is warmer than the chosen temperature inside, the heating switches off automatically. If it’s getting cooler, the heating will go on again.

Arrival: You can either reach us by car or you can take the plane to Málaga from where you can hire a car. Detailed information you will have in the brochure or in the information package, which we would like to send you. Our administrator is receiving you and shows you the finca. If you should arrive a bit later, the administrator will be waiting for you. If the delay will be during the night, you will find everything open and lighted. The administrator will come to you the next morning. Depending on the weather, the administrator will come to water the plants at the finca, clean the pool and take care of the garden once a week.

Places of cultural interests nearby the finca/ Cli: Hours by car: Grenada (Alhambra) 2,5; Sevilla 3,5; Ronda 3; Córdoba 3; Toledo 5; Gibraltar 3; Algeciras for Ceuta/Maroco, 3. The Axarquia (Rincon de la Victoria to Nerja) has got the mildest climate of Europe. It is located between the sea and the mountains which is the reason for a regular temperature equalization as well as for the cultivation of olives, almonds, wine, kaki, avocados, sugar cane and papayas.

Golf: You can play golf at the coast. It is easy to find because at the coast motorway there are many decal information: Baviera Golf, Information 0034 95 255 0338; Club de Golf 0034 95 255 5015.

Wieder Erholung pur - und es wird nicht langweilig

Im Mai 2008 waren wir estmalig Gäste auf Finca Fuente und es stand für uns fest, daß wir unseren Jahresurlaub 2009 dort wieder verbringen werden. Und so war es auch ... im September 2009 verbrachten wir 3 herrliche, erholsame Wochen auf Fuente. Es war wie vor einem Jahr alles perfekt und sogar noch besser geworden (alle Fenster mit Fliegengitter, eine weitere Terrasse auf der oberen Ebene mit tollem Panoramablick, kostenlosen Internetzugang und Telefonnutzung). Der Kontakt zum Verwalterehepaar, dem Besitzer und seiner sehr netten und sympathischen Mutter, die wir persönlich kennenlernten, war wieder hervorragend. Wir können Fuente nur empfehlen, da es an nichts fehlt!!!!! Wir genossen das Berg-Panorama, die ausgedehnten Spaziergänge, Erholung am Pool, die Ruta de Mudejar, den Duft der Eukalyptushaine ... und natürlich auch ein paar Nachmittage am und im Meer. Und 2010 werden wir auf der Finca Marico sein und freuen uns schon jetzt:):)

Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung Andalusiens

Wir waren 2 Wochen auf der Finca Fuente de Hierro. Auch zu dieser Jahreszeit war die Finca bei angenehmen Temperaturen ein guter Ausgangspunkt vieler Erkundungsausflüge in die nähere (z.B. Wandern direkt vor der Tür) und fernere (z.B. Ronda, Alhambra, Gibraltar) Umgebung. Aber auch ohne Ausflüge kann man sich auf der sehr komfortablen, gepflegten und ruhig gelegenen Finca erholen. Die Ausstattung der Finca läßt kein Wünsche offen. Falls es trotzdem Wünsche gibt, findet man bei dem sehr netten Vermieter immer ein offenes Ohr. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Traumurlaub

Fünf Koffer sind eigentlich zu wenig für dieses wunderschöne Feriendomizil. Wir haben einen Traumurlaub verbracht. Wir mussten nichts vermissen, für alles war gesorgt. Unser Vermieter war immer für uns erreichtbar. Eine sehr, sehr nette Betreuung. Man konnte sich nur wohlfühlen. Einfach genial. Nächstes Jahr fahren wir auf jeden Fall wieder hin, egal was kommt.

Zum 2. Mal, einfach traumhaft!!!!

Da wir letztes Jahr einen so schönen Urlaub hier hatten beschlossen wir auch 2008 wieder unseren Urlaub auf Fuente zu verbringen. Und wir wurde natürlich nicht enttäuscht, im Gegenteil es war noch besser, da die Eigentümer über den Winter den Komfort nochmal verbessert haben, einfach Klasse!!!! Auf einmal hatte der Pool eine Gegenstromanlage, die Fenster hochwertige Fliegengitter, der Pool eine Außendusche,....ABER der Preis hat sich nicht verändert, Bestnote!!! Fernab vom Massentourismus, hier ist man wirklich in Spanien!

Zum Haus/Grundstück können wir nur unser Lob aussprechen. Absolut Top gepflegt, bestens ausgestattet und sehr komfortabel!!!!

Für uns steht fest das es auch ein 3. Mal auf Fuente geben wird.

Die Erwartungen noch übertroffen

Das Einzige, was negativ war, wir hatten nur zwei Wochen gebucht. Das haben wir aber noch korrigieren können und kommen im August des Jahres noch einmal.
Die positiven anderen Bewertungen treffen in allen Punkten zu.
Wir haben uns als Gäste des Hauses gefühlt und nicht als Mieter eines Ferienhauses. Das Haus hat eine Seele und das liegt nicht nur an der schönen Lage.
Empfehlenswert für alle die, die sich im Urlaub wirklich erholen wollen.
